I like IS300s but they are pretty slow, stock. The neighbor kid had a absolutely MINT white MT IS300 with like 22k miles, it was like new in every sense of the word, i shoulda bought it. I like my TL better but i still really liked that car. It wasnt navi, or fast, but it still was pretty sweet. If i were you Murdoc, id get a 5 series bmw, because then, you wont be like every other douche driving a 3 series that thinks they are sweet, or the S2000. Only problem with my 04 TL is that its front wheel drive. Thats the only thing i dont like about it, thats why i said 5 series bmw... Forget the benzes and caddy unless you can find a CTS-V or E55 amg, anything else really isnt that fun from either company, and those are big bucks usually. I like TSXs but they are too slow and still fwd, and anyone i know thats ever had an Audi had serious problems with it, which is too bad because Audis drive nice, esp A4/A6 and S4 etc...

---- stock, is300 + 60-1 is a fun streetcar.

Re: turning 30 soon

yeah I know the IS's are slow as balls... as well as the s2000... I just want one cause I can do mild body mods and probably boost them to have a decent DD... these would be like half-luxury toys for me to have fun in. You should have def picked up that 22k IS, those things last forever... my buddy has one with 150-200K on it... somewhere between. and he beats the ---- out of it.

I feel you on the E55 though, however I'm sure a 12 second Benz isn't too important to Jeff... Actually for my next Benz I want either the G500 or G55... wanted to upgrade to the newer SL600, but I'm sick of mine and the fact that it's only a 2 seater. I want a truck and a 3+ seater, so G-wagon it is. 8) In regard to the CTS, I would only get a CTS-V :y

I like the 5-series, but for the price of a used 5 you could get a 7, so I'd just get a 7 :-\ I concur on the whole douchebagness of the 3-series, but it's still a nice car for the $$$ and it's definitely not on the top of my list.

Despite the TL being FWD, I still love that ------' car... it's G as ----. Unfortunately the Audi's do tend to have problems, but my stubborn ass would still get one. The maintaince scare everyone speaks of never stopped me from getting a V12 benz, hahaha.

TSX's are chick magnetty too, if you don't want to spring for the TL. They don't know the difference.

s2k is still what I'm aiming to buy this summer although JD is telling me to get a is300...but like you said, they aren't that cheap.

I've seen them in good condition in the area for 8-10k, but I think I'd prefer a 04/05 model.

I hear the "they're girly" and "not practical" ----, but I'm 24 with hopefully no chilluns for a while, and want to enjoy doing what the hell I want while I can. It's also a benefit to only have 2 seats so you are never the driver. Top down at 8000-9000rpm sounds nice as well.

You find lightly wrecked in the front end is300 all day for under $1500, clean titles if you put your ear to the ground. The parts cost you $400-600, you have $1200 in quality paint, round up for little unforseen extras and call it $4K.

Where would you put your ear to find such a deal.

I can't see anyone selling that cheap when people would easily pay more.
