Turbocharged GM in-line 6 4200?
 

Has anybody on this forum turbocharged the GM in-line 6 (atlas LL8 ) found in the Trailblazer, Envoy etc? any info, advice or pics of a similar project would be appreciated. Thanks!

GM did a turbo concept Trailblazer back in 2002(ish) but it never made it to production. It was themed similar to the Typhoon / Cyclones of years back. The only reason I remember this was because the vehicle was at SEMA but nobody really noticed it because very few noticed it was twin turbo.

Thanks for the link. I am looking to turbo one and the later engines included the improvments discussed that were used in this engine when the article was written.It has over 10:1 compression, not sure how much boost it can take in stock trim??

I believe one of the guys on the inliners international board had turboed one. Might check over there.

I don't mean to be moving you away from a turbo but I noticed something over the past few days. I live two blocks from a Cadillac dealership in West Chicago and noticed that they have 3 Trailblazer SS's in the certified GM pre-owned lot.

Just some food for thought...
