Re:Turbo Puking Oil....

You shouldnt have to rebuild it if it was just a return line problem, the oil seals are like piston rings, they dont blow out, the extra oil presure just washes by them. If I were you I would fix me return line, reinstal the turbo and see what hapens, it should be fine.

Re:Turbo Puking Oil....

I was kinda bummed out yesterday... cause i had everything go good up to that point for the turbo to just fail. but its a learning experience.. I learn something new everyday. I am seriously considering that rebuild kit. Im guessing its somewhere around 150 or less. and since i got the turbo for 50$ it could be worth it. and maybe while its in peices, get it sandblasted or something.

but damn did it puke oil. I lost about a quart in 20 minutes. It was either burned up, or ran down my exhaust piping, i was driving it (unturbod) and it was letting off a thick ass smokescreen, i was at the light and some tow truck driver was like "dude your rings are fried".. i laughed and told him what happend.

once again guys. thanks for the info

Re:Turbo Puking Oil....

I don't think you need a rebuild. The kink in your return line is definitely causing a problem. Try straightening it out and see if the smoke subsides.
The triangle shaped bolt should come off with a socket and wrench.

White smoke is also a result of losing oil after the combustion process. Everyone knows that the sweet smelling white smoke is typically coolant burning. The smoke you are referring is similar to the smell when you drop some oil on your exhaust manifold when it is hot. My T25 is doing the same thing, white smoke and burning some oil. Mine is not nearly as bad as yours.

If you do rebuild good luck.
