Turbo deliema...UPDATE

Re:Turbo deliema
I remember when I put together my first turbo kit my dad was completely against it and I didn't even tell him I was buying the parts until I had everything and getting ready to install it. My mom was afraid cause her friends told her that it would make my car fast as hell and I would die but they still let me do it.
But since your parents are paying for the car, its technically they're car so do what they want. If you were paying for the car I'd say PVC charge pipes, JB weld and a turbo welded to a stock manifold is the way to go.

Re:Turbo deliema
if you're dad is gonna front the money, might as well do it. kitting is kinda gay but if you gotta, snag up the edelbrock kit. he'll never know that once its on, you pulled out their fuel management BS and socketed the ECU and slapped in some uber action.

Re:Turbo deliema
what i would do..
look around for some pics and specs on some of the setups. i know on honda-tech there is someone selling 'neukin' manifolds, i think that is how you spell it.
look for a nice looking car, that has nice looking parts on it. and show him how it looks and then performs (dyno sheet). and it doesnt have to be a kit then.
ask him "what is the difference if i buy intercooler piping from greddy, or make my own?'
that is a simple start. but do research, dont try to bs him with.. 'well i saw some guys do this or that'
you have to show that you know what it is.
another thing to ask 'what is the matter with a equal length manifold, compared to premaid cast manifold'
i guess that is some things that can help you out..
worst comes to worse.. just tell him you are 'getting out of the game' and throw some hmt love on the car
