turbo deisel ef hatch?

if i bought a used UK spec turbo deisel with ecu, wiring harnes, and converted a ef hatch to deisel, using a si tranny. i could convert it to run on used food oil. then up the boost to like 15 pounds and have a really cheap gas sipper that isnt really slow. and it smells good. do you think it would work? i know i would have to change out the fuel pump and fuel lines, and buy the conversion kit to actually convert the used oill.

why would you convert? unless you plan to spend wayy too much, or can get the oil free/cheap...

You can also just brew biodiesel from the used oil, no conversion needed then.

yea their was an entire episode on trucks of how to brew biodiesel. it comes out to be 30 cents cheaper then regular diesel, but i say ---- that i put farming diesel into my truck.

Is it worth the 30 cents for the lack of convenience? For some people it might be but you can't just pull up to almost any gas station and get it like you can with regular diesel.

More info on this engine please? As far as I can tell, this was in the 2002 models, and was the same engine as used in some of the Vauxhuals and Citroens. Is it a direct bolt up, or do you need the tranny too?

I'd love to import one of these engines to the US, and then pull a "Banks" on it.
