Turbo Accord
Im an idiot. Semnos wanted me to post this so w/e. Anyone on here got a turbo accord? After attempting to make up my confused mind once again, i have stumbled onto a idea. You see my dad is a chump cause he doesnt want me to ---- around with my car when i get it so i figured that ill get a respectable car and keep it stock....on the outside atleast heh heh heh. I was going to get a '87-'89 Honda Accord and turbo it woo. Not only does this mean my insurance will be low ( i plann on getting the 4 dr LXi sedan) but it means that i will be laughed at weak an unsuspection prey. ill pull up next to them and when they hear that turbo hiss they'll cry like a lil baby.

Re:Turbo Accord
It will be a totally custom job but it has been done a few times. I have an 89 Accord Coupe with a JDM B20A that im doing a custom turbo setup on. It is going pretty well but has been costly because im ---- and buy everything new but the car is getting done from inside out. But if you are serious about doing a turbo on a 3rd gen accord if your lucky Justin (88Turboaccord.net) may still have his custom made manifold. He had the best turbo setup for the accord IMO but has parted a lot of it out already. So that would be the hardest part to come by when trying to turbo the accord and can be costly for a custom made manifold.

Re:Turbo Accord
Yeah Custom job it is. I believe justin still has alot of his parts left over but hes super hard to get ahold of. His A20 accord manifold is very nice indeed. Im working on building up a regular A20 accord engine myself, not the JDM B20A as Rob is (I WISH). There is a user called SEAN on www.3geez.com thats starting to get turbo kits etc put together, you might wanna check out the progress

Re:Turbo Accord
Im still going with my original plan on how you took up a car but everything under the hood plus exhaust etc. will come last. I mean im not really doing anything special ill replace the seats or get covers if they are in bad shape, and replace the stock speakers with rf and then get a single disc cd player. then ill drive it as is until i am ready to do a motor swap. (still dont know what motor, ( may lean towards b18c1) and then ill order the engine and before i swap get it preped to handle a turbo ( i figure running at 10 psi would be cool) then take a weekend and swap the engine and then later turbo it.

Re:Turbo Accord
how much power do you want to make with your A20a motor ? i mean its little to no trouble for me to get 500hp out of these things. no thats ive got all the lower end parts, head, turbo.engine managment worked out.
if you want a fast street drive that will be tough as nails then im sure i can help you out. no need for a b18 anything. the a20a doesnt even need sleeves.

thats what im talking about sean...
its funny i stumbled upon 3geez before you started posting on pgmfi, from that instint, your the man.
because i've wanted a lx-i hatch for awhile for a daily beater.
there are a few people i respect alot when it comes to things... and your work on the accord very cool.
did you ever work out the b16 head stuff?
