trouble with cops, need some help

Alright, i got caught tresspassing in a state park. I ran and left my keys behind. So the cop picked them up and found my car. It took me about 1/2 hour to get back to my car and by that time the cops were there waiting for me. They had gone through my car/wallet and got mine and my friends lisences. Then they gave us each a 300 dollar fine. Just wondering if it was legal for them to go through my car. I really don't want to pay the fine.

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

all depends on your state laws, there is a website that has all that law ---- on it i dont remember it

why the ---- did you run if your car was there?

Honda16hb 08-23-2004 10:20 PM

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

that has to be against the constitution, they didn't have the right to go through your ----, that's tresspassing, only worthless pieces of ---- tresspass.

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

illegal search and siezure. you might even be able to get them for trespassing since you can't get them for breaking and entering since they had your keys. also invasion of privacy may apply

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

but it was in a state park, would this change the laws in anyway?

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

I can't see that being legal.

I posted this story a few days ago, but I'll post it again.

I got arrested for curfew violation in Laughlin when I was like 15. Security guards surrounded me and I got taken to the secret area of the Riverside casino. They took the room key out of my pocket and went up to teh room, let themsleves in and busted my brother and his friend getting cloudy. Yeah, we all got arrested and ----, but the charges got dropped because they didn't have the rigth to just bust into the room without and reason.

ya, but becuase they went into the room without a warrent they had to drop the charges. They already had me for tresspassing.

I just want to get these fuckers back

in a state park, the state's laws still apply, it's part of the state, if you kill someone in the park the concequences are the same if you killed that person in a port-o-potty. And all federal laws apply to all 50 states.

Best thing to do since you have no legal knowledge is to get a lawyer he'll probably be able to drop your fines and get you some cash if he/she is good enough. That is a pending lawsuit right there in my eyes which equals $$$$$

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

Did they have a warrant to search your car? ---- that. They can't go in your car. Did the cops go in your ---- or the security? They can tow your car or they can call the cops, but I seriously doubt they have the rigth to go into your car and rummage your ----. I'd be heading down there with a few buddies and some ski-masks late at night. I hate security. ------- wanna-be cops. I have problems with security no matter where I go. :-\ I've been escorted out of casinos too many times. >:(

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

yes they caught you for tresspassing but in no way that has anything to do with your car. One they have to ask if they can search your car or have to have a warrant to search your car or some type of cause. Tresspassing has nothing to with your car for one just becasue they found your keys doesn't mean they have the right to go into your car look through all your stuff and write all your information down. You can get them for alot of ---- most important invasion of privacy. Thats like a cop finding your house key and searching your house because he think your doing something bad. You definatley got them on this one. If anything they should have waited till you got back to your car and asked if it was yours then they could maybe have searched it. But they didn't do that

hmm; state park state police maybe they had a right to search :-\

was it a male cop or a female cop? If it was a female cop then take a picture of her ass and post it!

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

was it a state park or federal? if its federal and hey were federal cops you are fucked. if there state cops and the got in your car without any reason then you got them but if you were on there land and shooting or whatever then your fucked.

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

either way. they had just cause to go through your car to identify you because you broke the rules/laws of the park and took off.

well, if it was a hot female cop maybe she sat on the shifter, so it's cool

Dont you think that the fact that they caught him trespassing is reason enough to check his car? Specially after all the 9-11 hype and terrorost stuff?(not saying he's a terrorist but you know how"securitt these days are because of the past event).

If you see someone inside your house and he runs away and leave his car..wouldnt you check his car to see if he put something yours in there, or would you ask poice to search the car for your stuff? Kind of the same thing here.

yeah but they had no proof it was his car though. What they should have done was waited to see if he came back to his car and if not imnpound it or write a ticket. You can't check to see if its someone car if you don't know who it is. They had to wait first then search not the other way around. Thats violation. What if it was someone else car? He could have walked to the park instead of driving there they dont know

well it doesn't mean it was his car. Did they see the keys fall from his pocket? Could he have borrowed someones car or use his parents car? Thats why they have to ASK if its your car or ask to search it. They should have waited to see if he came back to the car first then search not search then ask if its his car. I know if i let him borrow my car and they searched my ---- for no reason i would have been pissed. Plus they didn't need to look inside his ----. Thats why they have LICENSE plates. If they did know it was his car ------- write his license # down and tow the car

No proof? whatdya think they slim jimmed his car? the fact that he was carrying the keys the he dropped for them to open the car is proof enough it's his car.

sorry to say this man.. either get a lawyer (which might be more expensive then the ticket in the first place) or just pay the damn fine.

Still no reason to search his ----. If they knew it was his car write his License # down simple as that and get a warrant out for him

on their defense tho, if they didnt see you, adn saw a car off sitting there, they might have checked it out to see if there was like a body or some ----, both you and the po po's could put up one hell of an argument.

quit making the police rich and smarten up. only now can i say this cause i've done enough stupid ---- to last me for the next 3 lifetimes. stupid illegal ---- = wasted money, stress, and head aches. 2nd to last time i got arrested and taken to the county jail a ------ pig stole my gold chain outta my belonging bag. i notified them and they said they'd get a detective on it. what a ------ joke. last time i got arrested was a dui, i tried to outrun a cop
by turning into a neighborhood after passing the cop doing bout 70mph while he was parked inbetween 4 lanes at 4am. that was in 99' no problems since except for the usal traffic ticket or 2 :'( the cop that cuffed me tried to push me hard enough that i'd slam my head on the hood of the cop car i told him hey chill out what are you trying to do? ------- inferiority complexed bastards!!!!!!! pay the fine and live with the loss. i wish you best of luck and also wish you no more trouble with the law.
oh..had to edit this in..lol..when i tried outrunning the cop i was in my old 92' civic 1.5L hatch..lol..had i been in my 250hp 99' si beast i would've done smoked his ----..sunbabitch would've thought he was chassing a UFO.lol
seriously though, i'd never try that agian for ----! :-*

Re:trouble with cops, need some help

---- that take it to court. I think you will win. Cops have no authority to open your car without probable cause (like someone shouting and banging in the trunk, or a body passed out), if they wanna search your ---- they need your permission or a warrant, they had neither.

And, rob, ---- i out ran a cop in a ------ saturn, yeah that's right a piece of ---- base model 98 saturn. How the ---- you ask? It was traffic and i got mad dippin' skills. 8)
