J/K but in regard to all this tranny fluid talk, I always thought that you use regular motor oil (terd says 10/40 I used 10/30) in them old trannies (at least the 88-91 civic/crx trans)? I hope the people that are refering to trans fluid are rockin' hydrolic trannies (i think those use tranny fluid right? never owned a honda newer than a 91).

ive been using 75/150 in my diff

even the hydro trannies use 10W-30 or 10W-40...it says it in the manual...depends on the temperature of place you're living in.
Honda MTF(manual tranny fluid) is 10W-30 I if I'm not mistaken, with some additives.
Hydro trannies are just normal trannies....the hydraulic fluid is something else and that doesn't go into the tranny.

Word. i think all manual hondas use motor oil, honda mtf is too damn expensive, and technically if you were to use honda motor oil wouldnt it be the same at honda mtf? (lol) i just use oil(5w30) and lucas oil treatment. :)

I think it's pretty funny to have your ass around to watch you start ---- with everyone, one time I actually agreed with you. Just stick to the "I just fucked your mom" lines and ---- dude.

as far as I'm concerned, nobody has contributed to this thread, nobody has told me what I wanted to know, and just diss me beacue I used a product that is not normally used, do a search on honda-tech, lots of people use it.

quadine, i don't know what your beef with me has been lately, but you need to get outside, or get some skin, or something. your the biggest post ----- since projecteg or kyle, and you don't have an excuse. Sure you know alittle about everything but that doesn't mean you add anything worth reading. I've added my share of things, technicly, do a search on my "canadian styles" right ups, or search back in the other sections, sure I haven't added anything lately, but I"ve been busy, and noob posts arn't cool

infact just last week you were saying how noobs rule, and now you say they suck, whats the deal, grow up, nerd.

Hey man, I have no beef with you, I think that the ---- you say is amusing. I was only giving you a little heads up, since everyone else likes to bitch about you.

If you think that I am such a bad influence to this forum, why don't you start a pact against me and get me banned or something.. if you wanted some straight help on something, I would offer it to you, just like what I do to everone.

You dish it out enough, you need to know how to recieve it, and since I don't have my little midget friend to pick on, I think it's funny to ---- with you about your insane love for the northland. It's not like your insults are really going to harm me, I've learned not to take anything that serious coming from someone within your age group.. who is the one who needs to grow up around here?

don't try your bullshit tactics on me, I'm 33 years old, your mom lost her ass virginity to me, now listen up, if I tell you, "you spend too much time on here and your a douche bag moron who can't get any" you better not say you deny that it doesn't cross your mind that I might be right, otherwise your a lying piece of ----.

Ok, that post sure did show a lot of maturity, just by the spelling and punctuation alone I can tell that you know what you are doing and that you really are one to bow down to. Yeah, I'm a moron who can't get any.. whatever you would like to believe, I really don't have to prove anything to you. Once again, the mother jokes; yeah they have some novelty appeal.. just not something that you want to keep using over and over again.

I've heard of many people using GM Syncromesh *FM* without any problems. Maybe your tranny was screwed from the begining.

Re:Tranny bearing. fucking gay honda/ GM

from what i gathered syncros work on friction so since GM Syncromesh makes your gears sync quicker then i say it produces more friction at the expense of wearing out ur syncros quicker but ur gears sync quicker/better. so the way i see it is use motor oil and when you begin to get too much grindage due to gears not syncing, refill with honda MTF and when it starts doing the same with that then hit up GM and after that throw the damn tranny away, if its for a D series.
there was a post on HT i believe that basically says what iam saying in much through process
