Re: Trance's Homemadepaintjob
Hah ah you guy's know me... I retired from the HMT handjobs a while back. I hear Mr. Frank gives a pretty good "slicker" though, haha. Also, I havn't even had a chance to wetsand and buff it yet. What you see is a raw paintjob, no polishes or buffing just yet. I'm waiting for my buffer to get in, then maybe I'll do an HMT buff job writeup. There really isn't much dirt specs or orange peel. Just keeping everything as clean as possible and knowing what your spraying (your tecnique) is probably going to save you alot of time in the end. Not to mention I had to work around rainy, hot and humid weather. Theres alot you guy's didn't see that I ended up learning the hard way. Clearing on a hot humid day is definately a no-no...
I'll take some better pictures (H-T style) a little later on. I just finished the car up so I havn't even had much time to drive it or even find some good spots for snapping pictures. Doing the engine bay was a little tricky. I had to strip as much as possible out and bag up the engine pretty good to prevent overspray. Then to add a nice touch I cleared all the areas your eye will see (shock towers etc.) JDMfantasy hit me up sometime, I'll get you in for some dyno time and we'll see what we can do with your new setup
