If this is a common occurance to Zex Cam ( I've Heard of it before too) I would tend to think the threaded hole is no deep enough, and then when torqued down, the bolt bottoms out and causes it to crack.

I've had this on my old motor. Not on the cam, but I used too long of a bolt and it split the aluminum boss right off.

Damn Steve thats sucks man.

i've heard and seen many different cams break at that exact point, all after market though. thats why i would only rock stockers

just looked on there website, it just says not califorina legal. not for offroad use only. does it say it on the box for the cams or anything?

well he's not in Ca anyways. I'd call them up and see what they can do. Maybe they can compensate you a new came gear too.

Thanks alot guy's, and thank you Mista bone for the contact info. I'll get in touch with him. Thankfully I was idling on a hill so I just had to roll back down. But, I towed it home 3 miles with a rope, haha The homemade way!
