250 are lame, all older 600s are lame, once you twist the throttle all the way back about 10 times you need more power

@ OP Good beginners bike You will enjoy a 250 as you learn and improve your skill. They are LOTS of fun in the twisties
being smart and mature about a bike has nothing to do with the size...being smart and mature is called riding with in your limits...knowing what you can do and what you can't do...size of bike shouldn't matter...i've had friends start out on r1's and still havn't dropped em and they've been riding for 5 years...i started on a cbr600 and never dropped it...i knew what i could and couldn't do as a rider and stayed with in those limits...there was nothing negative about what i said...i only stated that if you plan to move up to a bigger bike its a waiste of money...and the OP is being smart cause he got the better end of the trade, not cause of the size of the bike
