Most of these bands you probably havent heard of.
theyre all metal bands, so if any of you like metal i suggest looking them up if you already havent heard of them

im glad you brought this up.........

the other day as i was listining to the radio, they said nirvada was named in the top 10 of classic rock according to rolling stone magazine with the song....smells like teen spirit ::)

nirvada made the top 10 list of "rock and roll" ::)

im not sayin nirvada shouldnt make a list, but not above ozzy or metallica or any other band along those lines....

guns and roses didnt even make the list but nirvada did? :-\

ohh yeah, and i listedn to classic rock, nothing "modern" so im not to up to date on music for my $.02 :-\

this new age rock/punk/metal is garbage
that type of music stopped being good in the early 90s

dance died in the late 90s

so all im left with is the incredible bass of rap/r&b my friends

I can't name a top ten. That is way too hard. Especially with MP3 decks and computers. You can listen to so much at once.

Some ppl I listen to though:
Bob Dylan, Jurassic 5, blackalicious, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, WIllie Nelson, Beatles, Metallica (old stuff), Ozzy, Atmosphere, Busta Rhymes, 50, Barenaked Ladies, Dropkick Murphys, the list just goes on.

I listen to just about anything that is good.

2. Kottonmouth Kings --- 90% of their music if you haven't heard of them, they are worth a listen

5.Icp --- they are some funny ----------ers with hella catchy lyrics

Damn I just had to put that Soul Food joint on there! :-[ For some reason it reminds me of basic training and my homie got me started on eatting grits and southern food we had during basic. Damn those grits were good! I remember hearing the word crunk for the first time and treal back in 97 before the word crunk is like the new bling.

its all about denver in dallas from new jersey.... theyre not that great recorded but if you can ever catch a live show you will not regret it... ive played with them before and seen them a few times, never fail to amaze me live

Wow... some of you have NO taste in music... You think you'll be listening to 311, Korn, Story of the Year, Metallica, Jay Z, LL Cool J (WTF?), etc. when you're 80+ years old??

To those who included Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Beatles, Hendrix, or something along the lines THANK YOU. Those guys have talent.. They are a few of the people in my list.

Sorry if you don't agree with me.. I like 311 and some of Jay-Z, but I definitely would no go as far as saying they're in the top 10.. atleast in GOOD music.

I never said you were supposed to follow my opinion. Hence why I said, "Sorry if you don't agree with me..." I like 311, no doubt! But c'mon.. they aren't the best band of all time. Anyone that has a grasp what real music is, will tell you that. Honestly, I don't listen to any music in the 60's or 70's, but ALL the greatest bands have derived from that period, and I respect that. If a powerchord exists in a piece of music, it doesn't deserve to be the best song ever. You obviously like modern rock (i GUESS you could call it that..) but why dont you go back and see where rock origanted from.. THAT'S where the real bands are. Not trying to start any ----, but it's my opinion. Isn't that what this is for?
