Re: Tools ETC...

only tools I need:
- flat head screwdriver
- hammer
- vice grip

if you can't get it to work with those, it can't be done.

Don't buy Craftsman, got it. I'll take a look at Snap on, Mac, and S&K. What about for jacks, crawlers, and engine hoists any particular ones I should scout out? Thanks guys.

I love habor freight and the flea market. I hate black oxide colored tools, I have a hard time spotting them while wrenching. I like the garage sale strap-on idea I'll have to give it a shot...

Re: Tools ETC...

Those of you who think craftsman stuff is decent should try some snap-on tools sometime. My Snap-on 1/4" drive ratchet will hold more torque than a craftsman 1/2", and rounding off rusted/overtorqued bolts and nuts is not even a concern with good quality stuff.

The benchtop stuff does have a much better feel too. My first toolset, and the one I keep at home is benchtop, I love that stuff. My dad has mostly craftsman, and my brother is a tech at sears, so he has all craftsman, they both steal my benchtop tools. I don't care too much though, I bring tools from work home.
