|
Re:tires...what to get ???
kumho tires (ecsta 711 or 712) are decent on the street.. cheap.. but shitty at the track.. (lots of wheel hop)

i have the 711s If you dont have to worry about it falken azenis are the ----. one of the best non-r compound tires IMO. |

W-10 warms up in no time, almost the same grip as Azenis, very preditable, but mine set lasted only 6 months. that`s with very heavy mountain runs. plain street duty i think it will last 10000 + miles. BUT they`ve already stop making W-10s :P |
Re:tires...what to get ???
my azenis just got here today, they weigh ------- 23 lbs each, but ---- it, if they grip good it's worth it.

Re:tires...what to get ???
Toyo Proxies 4.
|
Re:tires...what to get ???
Yokohama AVS ES100
|
Re:tires...what to get ???
yokohama es100's are the ----....good pick
|
Re:tires...what to get ???
I think only cheap <$100 tires need apply on HMT lol. Especialy, since most of us just burn them down in short order.
I have somewhat limmited personal tire exp., but I am VERY pleased with my Azenis. Straight line grip on the street has been great, even when lined up w/ a car on DR's `ve had dunlop sp9000, FM-901, W-10 and Azenis, had them with the exact same size, and suspension setup i tried them all on the same mountain course i`d take the W10s over the all of them. for the price 901 suck man., ok stiff side wall, ok traction but VERY unpredictable. Azenis are ok, very good traction but take a good while to warm up, while it is still not-so preditable. Re:tires...what to get ???
the baller tires I can think of right now for the street are, sp9000's, TA KD's, SportCOntact 2's, AVS sport's, P-zero corsa, and then maybe azenis at the bottom of the list. the ultimate "street tire" in my opinion is adan neova. they last quite a while and make azenis look lik bitches for stickiness. I personally run AVS Es100's on the street an Proxes RA1's on the track.
|
Re:tires...what to get ???
the neova is giving me ---- as far as finding somewhere that sells them online, I found a picture though:

that`s ----`s only good on higher speed. |

|
Re:tires...what to get ???
seriously, you wouldn't think it, but www.tires.com has fantastic prices, I got my ES100's shipped to my door for like $350 or something like that (215/45/16)
|
Re:tires...what to get ???
the toyo proxes 4's are nice on the road for handling and grip, decent in weather too.
and they manage 2.2 60's at the track on my coupe |
Re:tires...what to get ???

this is the cheapest place i've seen so far for bfgoodrich drag radials https://www.tiresavings.com/index.php
and for regular street tires: www.wheelguyz.com |
Re:tires...what to get ???
oooOOO tire talk, well since tires are the topic, have any of you guys tried Essneza tires? I might be pickin' up a set for CHEAP, but I have never heard of them, or know of anybody that uses them. Apparantly they are made by Goodyear (a + in my book) and they are suppose to be pretty good tires, not to mention they are type R tires :P
Here's the link http://www.conceptessenza.com/tires.html I always wanted to run on some type R's. |

They'll go great with your double decker wing and APC Windshield Banner ::) |
Re:tires...what to get ???
what size rims you got? i had 13"s with cheap walmart tires and my car sucked in the turns they sidewalls would rollover even with 10psi more than rated. now i got 14"s with good tires that have thick side walls and now i only lose traction when i want to. also they are the ones made for treading water. they make a huge difference in the rain. my car actually feels safe now.
check out www.tirerack.com and look around your budget and the size you want and people put up reviews so you can see if a tire is good or not. iam poor so when i need tires i need the best i can get for cheap. |

Re:tires...what to get ???
im thinking about just getting the falken azneis. seems like a good tire. but ive also thought about just getting 2 bfg drag radials for the front and something simple for the back.
|
Re:tires...what to get ???
don't street drive drag radials. get some azenis, you'll be happy w/ them.

Re:tires...what to get ???
HID's, Baller Wheels, all you need is forced induction and we could match.
|
Re:tires...what to get ???
I wish I could (or have the guts/money) to do forced induction, but at the present I am content with my APC modded car ;)
I guess no one seriously has some input on those Essenza tires huh :-\ I guess I scratch that, now I might pick up a set of NT555's ;D... Maybe... |
Re:tires...what to get ???
sounds like a plan. i found em online for my 14 inch stock wheels for 42 a piece. pretty good price i think
|

I'll ----- you up like yo momma never told me no >:( :P but seriously there ain't no whoring, look at me responses, I think about 75% are irrelevant to the topic. |
