Go to school bro and remember Mr. Gecko said it best "...money isn't made or lost, it's just transferred from one perception to another..."

And actually I don't work for Northrop/Grumman, nor do they work on Strykers. I work for General Dynamics. Northrop/Grumman has a vehicle similar to Strykers called LAV's, but differ by size, capability, and number of variants.

yeah you said that in your first post. im Familiar with GD also, they have a spot on the other side of the runway from me were they work on some nice ass jets, knew a couple people that worked there but there pay wasnt anything special, the kind of money you make there usually varies by job though. i personally worked for Lear Siegler wich is now a subdivision of URS for 3 years myself and the pay varied quite a bit depending on the position.

BTW to actually help the OP since you have a good amount of experiance in retail management try a better store like Sears or Radio hack. Managers at some of those stores can make pretty good money, managers at Circuit City used to make between 50-100k depending on what there postion was and how good the store did (50k+ was like a sales manager, store managers made more) but that was back when they were on a commision system.

You must be refering to the branch of General Dynamics that works on the Gulfstreams. Not sure how their pay matches up with General Dynamics Land Systems whom I work for. you actually make the big bucks by traveling, especially by getting deployed. Seems the average local employee makes round about $20 per/hr. Deployment to Iraq is where the big bucks are though, easily $160K take home per/yr.

Thats cool to see another person who has some contracting. 8)

yeah they work on gulfstreams thats who im refering too.. like i said i never worked for them they just happen to be on the other side of the ramp of me and ive known a few people that worked for them.....

as always the money isnt really made in your hourly rate, its made in the perdiem (non taxable money). the more you move/travel the more you make cause that tax free money keeps coming in.

im done as a contractor for now, but yeah i did it for 3-4 years and im finally just now (after 4 years of my new job) passing what i made as a contractor.... good times :)
