That's just starting pay for daytime managers. I made $13 for daytime and I was the bottom manager. Overnight managers make around $14 to start. Its not bad pay for no college degree...... plus benifits. I gave up my manager spot cause my daughter started school but I only lost like 50 cents so its still worth it.

Not sure if you're math is on tonight or what.. but 12.00/hour doesn't equal 27k/year.. if "guy" is making 27k/year .. he ought to stick with it. It's hard to find good jobs nowadays.

Go work at an airport or something. Thats what a friend of mine does. Get full benefits, rediculously cheap plane tickets, and its super easy. He loads the planes with bagage. Or a law firm in the mail room, or filing papers, good pay, and you could move up in the chain.

If youdon't mind traveling, civilian contracting for the military is the way to go. I work for General Dynamics working on the Strykers for the U.S. Army. Not only have I made more money in 10 months than I have in 2 full years at any other job, but my job has a damn good cause. I love my job. O0

Go to www.gdls.com , check it out, and fill out an online resume if it looks like something that might interest you. You also might wanna try Googling a website for Northrop/Grumman, as I know they are in need of contractors too. Whether or not you get hired is kinda dependant on where you live. Theres alot more involved, but I'm tired of typing now. :4
