Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

my dad's going to pick up a new truck 2morrow and they've always given us really good deals and they have a 91 Toyota Truck for $4000 with a newer motor, 5 speed, etc that i think i might trade my stang in for

this not having anything to drive in winter bullshit pisses me off and my dad already said i can only have 1 vehicle and if it's a car it's up for winter, so really i have no choice

anyways here's a pic and the modlist of my stang and a pic of the truck

1970 351 Windsor swap
Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum Intake Manifold
Edelbrock Performer RPM Cam
Edelbrock Performer 650 CFM Carb
Edelbrock Triangle Air Filter
Accel Coil
Cervinni's Fiberglass Twin Ram Air Hood
85 GT Front Bumper
2 1/2" Dual Exhaust With Glasspacks

dam straight.
maybe a different car.. like something can be winter worthy.. like civics are pretty decent in the snow.. keep it clean and it wont rust.. and if you modified your car.. you dont have to 'race' it in the snow.. smart driving.. then you can have fun in the summer.

you have to give a little to get a little.. but not buy a toyota.. ;)

what you gain for 'snow' driving, you would lose in gas mileage for a truck. or let alone the tire costs. :o

Re:Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

ur 17, why the ---- would you want a truck

Absolutely no fun other than being able to haul ----

Your young, juice the stang or getting something fun

dunno, hard argument, if your not into crazy driving and racing and are the practical ----- type then go for it

I get dissed at work all the time because I want to buy a 17 year old RHD Crx. They all say itll still be old and not look as good (to them) but ---- THAT, I dont buy a car for the practicality/reliability or the gas mileage, I bought my crx because its fun as ------- ---- and I have the most fun in the world in it

Re:Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

ethier way you gotta boost 1 or the other so be a thug and boost the stang . I guess its up to you though. i got a 351w in 1 of my volvo's ;D

Re:Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

i love going fast and i love the feel of hopping in and shredding the meats through 3rd gear, it's just the fact that i can't drive it year round that ------- sucks

and trucks are lots of fun, just gotta find the right mudholes :P

Re:Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

I love all you homos who are addicted to fast cars, its fun and all, but having and modifying a 4x4 is alot more fun, safari style y0. Camping, mudding, trails, bushwacking, beaver diving, its all good, sure parts and tires are expensive, but its fun as hell, and chicks dick trucks. Since you are pretty much a flamming pole smoking homo with your purple gay'd headlight stang', you probly shouldn't buy a 4x4. but just on the off chance the thrill of suckin dick, i mean going mudding excites you, I would recommend you buy a full sized truck. import trucks are ok, but with any truck, your gas milage is gona suck, so you might aswell have some power, which is only avaible with a big torquey american v8. bigger tires fit with less of a lift, dana style axles are stronger, and parts are genereally cheaper to find used (you'll break alot of ----) and there is a larger variety of aftermarket parts out there for the good ol unrelaible american made cars, its your choice.

a 4wd can be a lot of fun, it's just different fun, and thats a grat deal for that truck.

JD 01-15-2005 02:39 AM

Re:Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

You'll regret it bro. Keep the stang and do something drastic to it. That truck looks gay BTW. If you are going to buy a truck at least get a good one and not that that peice of ----. Anyone in the world can have a raised truck but the sports cars get the bitches ;)

Well if you need a car to go in the snow but you have to"be responsible and practical", then get a used WRX,Subaru RS or maybe an Audi A4 quattro. They all have all wheel drive but are still fun to drive. The truck will be fun for awhile but you will miss your car in a short time. ::)

wow ur cool :P

i'm not exactly made of money so a big american beast with a v8 isn't exactly feasible

Re:Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

Obviously the people who are saying it's a pile of ---- have never owned a Toyota truck. I've owned a few of them and they make just as much, if not more parts for Toyota trucks than Honda. You can get as wild as you want with it. They still get good gas mileage and are easily modded. You can still boost that motor, and they are bigger than your standard Honda motor with 2367cc. Most of you don't realize that motor can handle an insane amount of boost in stock form. Those blocks are bullet proof.

Some people need a truck. If I don't have a truck I don't have a way to transport my bike. I'd love to have another Toyota. If I ever get around to selling my S10 I'll be looking for a Toyota.

Here is a local shop that specializes in 22r motors.

id take the stang, if its an 83 or newer all the front end parts for the nicer lights bolt up

Re:Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

I'd say keep the 'Stang, I like it. When I didn't have a "winter ride" I just didn't drive. :P

Although, if I were to ever get a pickup it would be that kind of pickup, I love those.

Depends on which one you want man. If I were in your position, I'd say just keep the stang.

u could get a nice crx w/ a b16 for 4k... they're pretty damn good in the snow too. Just get some shitty snow tires for the winter and then some summer fun tires/wheels. CRX is the only way to go in my book

I know a guy selling a 22r turbo kit. Ran 12's in a 2wd pickup. Makes me think about what it could do with 4wd.

My CRX was crazy horrible in winter. I drove a Plymouth Acclaim as a beater last year ;)

Re:Thinking about trading in the stang 2morrow

I dorve my civic which is lowered about 3 inchs all last winter, with shitty half bald summer tires, and this is in canada, sure i got stuck, but that was usually cause i drifted that corner too fast cause i was fooling around.

trust me you 17 year old stang loving punk, a american v8 is gona be cheaper then a toyota, toyotas are awesome trucks don't get me wrong, but if you are gona go offroading, you might aswell have a ford or chev for the reasons I listed above. mother fucker.

Yeah, but you have alot in common with this kid. You're both 17, both live in a trailer, and you're both virgins. :P

His first trip out of town will make him realize he should have traded. :P
