Re: thinking about buying this bike, what do u guys think
Am I the only one that noticed the CEL? I mean the light stays on until the bike is started but the CHEC on the LCD is supposed to go off after 4 seconds. That could be a problem.
14.4 K on a bike isn't what people are making it out to be. The bike probably hasn't reached it's first valve adjustment interval. Disregard the mileage.
What it comes down to is:
A) D+D pipes suck monumental monkey anus.
B) Repainted bodywork spells lay down and who knows what little details were left out of the repair.
C) Salvaged title means lower resale, face it you won't have that bike 6 months down the road.
D) You probably don't know how to ride and will plaster yourself all over the road trying some over-confident stunt.
E) You'll have to ask your girl if you can spend the money to buy it because your nuts are in her purse. :P
Seriously 1K-1200 max on a salvage/theft recovery

my personal experiance and from guys i talk to about purchasing my first bike is to not buy a 600 just becasue in 3-4 months time you will be used to the power and when that happens you will have already depreciated the value of the bike that much more.. alot of guy tell me to buy a bike i would be happy with a couple years down the road.. you could go out and buy a 900 or 1000cc those will defibatly get you killed if you try to be brave before you really know how to ride but they will only go as fast as you make it..
i say stay away from the 600 and look for a similar deal on a bigger bike

i'de get pick it up if you can get a good deal on it. which i don't see why you shouldn't be able to since it was wrecked and salvage title. like the guy up there said, $1000-1,200 tops

If its selling for a good price just pick it up. It would be a good starter becuase your not loosing a ton of money if you drop it and also you can decide if you even like riding before you spend alot of money and find out its not your thing.
GSXR's are good bikes, though they are not designed for racing and are more of a girls bike

Also 99.5% of people can't even ride a 600 to their full potential. So instead of learning how to maintain exit speeds at turns they just compensate with engine size. 600's can still go fast
