Re: Thanks HMT!!!

Turbo setup is - no name fmu, greddy 19t turbo, some kind of manifold(lol) I picked up from my buddy here in LA, sidemount I think is greddy due to sticker, greddy type s bov, motor is d16y7 block w/ y8 head. Blox missing link, and walbro 255lph pump. Sorry to sound retarded on the manifold, if anyone recognizes it it would be nice to know what it is. I used an oil cooler from a 2jz supra twin turbo, and I am running a downpipe for eg(greddy). Running obd-1 p28, waiting to dyno this weekend and chip ecu so I can rid of the fmu. Injectors are gsr, but waiting for some new ones to land in my lap, hopefully soon. Autometer gauges, sad I didnt research before I wasted money on the light show gauge :'(. SO autometer A/F gauge for sale 30$ shipped! 1 week old!

And thanks for the compliment on my car.

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

a guy in my town was gonna put his intercooler there and then put a small hood scoop right over it so that it got some good flow. would be a good idea if you had a junk hood laying around just to see if it would be worth it.

suckawillis 05-17-2006 06:46 PM

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

yeah, I considerd it, my buddy just molded in a scoop from a bumper where the fog light mounts on a lexus, worked good, but I am kind of an anti scoop guy
thanks for the advice man ;D

Probably a dumb question, how'd you get the guages set up like that? It's clean I wanna do the same.

you buy a dual gauge pod. thats just something you buy

Jorsher 05-18-2006 11:14 AM

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

yeah I figured, just making sure it wasn't a modded oem one. Where can I get one?

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

Looking good aside from the fmu :P . that kinda looks like an aftermarket sidemount for say a 300zx

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

ok, I got some injectors, rc, but I have been told that if I put them in before hondata, my car wont idle. I searched, and couldn't find anything on it. They are saturated, 440cc, any body know if I can just slap them on?

davcivic 05-18-2006 12:03 PM

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

I don't think the stock computer will compensate for the increas of size on them, and the car will not idle or run with them. I believe you need to burn a basemap at least, to get the car running, and then tune it.

Jorsher 05-18-2006 12:05 PM

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

yeah I'm pretty sure you'll run rich if you don't tune after installing

Looks great!

I don't think that's a DSM intercooler though, it looks bar and plate to me.

Nice simple setup. :)

great! i hope to say someday the same thing .. :P

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

pesonally I like hondata, and since I have a great connection and tuner, where it will be near free, I'll stick with it. But I do know if I was paying out of my pocket, I would definately go crome O0

BTW, put a FMIC, you're losing some Hps :P

Yea I know, working on it. This was a kit that cost me a total of 60$, hmt style picking up anything I could get.

Nice set up man! One of the cleaner sidemount installs I've seen. Looks like you definitely put gsome good thought into a clean, sleeper setup.

You have said the word greddy to many times in this post. That manifold is definatly custom, looks like a stock manifold chopped up to fit. GSR injectors are the same as Civic injectors...

So get yourself some 450's or bigger.. and why ---- with hondata? Uberdata/Crome are pretty much the only way to go nowadays.

I got some rc's already as stated in above posts, and Hondata is what I like to use, and always have. Since it doesnt cost me much, its a good route for me.

you can't hate on a guy for haveing money and wanting to pay somebody more money then needed to tune it :4

suckawillis 05-19-2006 02:43 PM

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

lol if it meant I would have to spend more, i definately wouldnt do it, im not made of money but I run my own motorsports shop and have a lot of good connections and friends, so my tuner takes car of me. Honestly I would rather go with a good chip and tuning if i was paying for it, but my hondata hook ups are great, so I support them.

suckawillis 05-19-2006 02:47 PM

Re: Thanks HMT!!!

I think I led confusion amongst everyone, I am not RICH, haha actually a budget guy, I just take advantage of any free stuff I can get, and HT blows, they are all haters lol. Like I said, as of now I have less than 300$ into the entire kit including my injectors, and a total of less than 500 after hondata/tuning. I think if you guys were gettin ---- free, you would do the same.

If i was rich, there would be a built motor and a much bigger turbo under the hood
