Re: taste the rainbow
I have thought of the idea of buying one to get really into making parts for them since Hondas are on a downhill spiral for sure
They are really undertuned from the factory. Heads flow for ----. 52mm throttle body isnt enough for a 102 hp d15b7 motor. Intake Mnaifold plenum is meh at best.
They dont hold value for ---- either so buying them used doesnt seem that far of a reach

What I'm talking about with the normal non-STi 2.0L WRX (only reason it's 2.0L is because STi isn't in the same price range as Neon) is that in pretty much every category besides straight line speed it trounces the SRT-4.
There are far more important aspects of a car than just straight line speed. In fact, at least IMO, speed is 3rd or 4th on the list. I would say reliability, handling, and traction should come before power because what good is 300+whp if the car it's propelling isn't capable of handling that kind of power?
Now of course an arguement can be made from any position, so this is just my opinion, but for daily driving and/or light modding I would take the 2.0L WRX over the SRT-4 any day. You are right though, WRX's are slow lol. Surprisingly slow.

I bet all the SRT4 owners get pissed when they go to look up the value of their car on KBB and they have to claim it as a Dodge-Neon-SRT4. :1

Re: taste the rainbow
Allright, I'll take your word for it. I've driven a WRX and it felt nice and tight to me and I rode in an SRT-4 and it felt like ***. I mean it had a quick spooling turbo and had plenty of power for a daily driver, but it just wasn't as good of a driving experience. Just FYI, I can't be wrong about this because it's only my opinion lol. Do you have any hard evidence that the SRT is better? You don't. That's because it's all personal preference. I think it's safe to say you'd drive a Neon SRT-4 over a WRX, and me the opposite.
Now add the EVO to the equation and that all changes even though it's about $5k more there's no arguing it's far better than the SRT-4 and if you do, you're on crack

Now you're just arguing for the sake of it. Opinions cannot be wrong. I concede lol, you win for the love of God. Why are you sackriding SRT-4's so hard, do you have one? You got me man, I take bad pictures of Mustangs and obviously have no clue that any car in the $20k and > range cannot come close to matching the SRT-4's massive performance abilities :P

srt4 is by far the best performing car anywhere near its price category.

Re: taste the rainbow
In a straight line you are completely correct. Facts don't lie. Then again, what about a 1G DSM for $3500? It comes with a bigger turbo stock and the 6 bolt is a legendary motor. Ahahaha! I'm just ------- with you man. There is no end rofl.
I never denied once that the SRT-4 isn't the fastest sub $20k car in a straight line. I merely offered my opinion that other cars in the same range, while not as fast, are still worthy contenders. Hell if we went off what car magazines said the RSX Type-S and the Cobalt SS or Ion Redline would be the top choice rofl. It's all a matter of Personal Preference OMG WTF BBQ? MOPAR STAGE ELEVENTEEN UPGRAYEDZZZZZ!
