Tard Girl backed into me-- insurance claim shit?
 

So I pull into the campus parking lot to grab some food with my roommate before my meeting, and she starts screaming something i can't make out and I look just in time to see a maroon ford contour of death backing straight into me. I tryed to swerve a little out of the way and hit the horn but i couldn't find it fast enough. Haha I even yelled stop out of instinct. She smashed in my driver side front fender pretty good and the fender took a bunch of paint off the front edge of the door. She gets out of the car, prissy little bitch, " I'm sorry I didn't see you" :S and I laughed and said no ----. Its a damn good thing she didn't give me a hard time, it had already been a long day. I already filed the claim with my company and hers, and her company (erie insurance) is having an appraiser call me thurs or friday to schedule him to see the car.

Question is should I get it appraised somewhere else first so I have something to show the guy if he tries to screw me? If possible I'd of course like to make out on this deal and maybe get a little extra money to get some other ---- fixed on the body of my car. Will I be able to get extra cash out of it because I have aftermarket fenders that are more expensive and you can only buy in pairs? I dunno, I'm new to this shite. I have the tardgirl's phonenumber if anyone wants to call >:D .

if you ask for to much....sometimes they give you less. especially if you have faggy aftermarket fenders. its not the insurance companys fault that your.....well a fag :l

erie insurance are ---- bags i've delt with them before when some fat bitch tboned then stare at teh cop and said i just spaced out....NO ------- ----..good luck with that

oem ---- costs twice what any bullshit aftermarket fenders cost. You want oem. You have the right to have your car fixed wherever you want. Get to a shop and tell them you'll be giving them $100 for fronting as the shop that's fixing your car. When the check comes in cut them the $100 and go to the junkyard to buy your stuff and have it painted. You should be at a 50% profit margin after everything is said and done I'd think.

Get your own estiment at one or two local body shops and have them there when her insurance agent come to try and lowball you. I had a lady run into my car when it was parked and her agent came out to my house to see my crx and wrote me out a check for $350 less than any shop would fix my car. After getting a couple quotes to back this up I called his ass out and had him call the shops himself and he ended up sending me out a second check for $350. They never said I had to use those body shops, its just I was entitled to the full amount it would cost a proffesionall to put my car back to before the accident. If her agent trys to lowball you and say it wouldnt cost that much ask him if he is going to personally fix it for the amount he's lowballing you. O0

they might even total your car depends on whats its worth in there book but if you think you might take a check for a totel and let them have your car you better take of anything you want before he comes cuase they wont let you after in most cases. you never know what ---- they will pull be prepared.

There going to give you a small ass check and tell you to go to abody shop, There estament is based on whats in there computer and they wont bargin. But if it cost more then what they give you they will pay the rest, but the body shop has to bill them. They do this to keep people from fixing it themself and pocketing money. And yes it sucks balls, but you can stick it to them, take the car to a really nice place and if the paint doesn't match(it happens) you can force them to repaint the whole car costing them big bucks.

for me it was just the opposite...i went out and got two estimates and when the other persons adjuster came around, he checked out the estimates and gave me what i asked for
