Talk to me about Porsche 944s
Well I often consider where I will go from hondas ...
I would really like to build a muscle car with and put a turbo to a big V8 using a Holley blow through carb. Simple, yet powerful ... but the realization of how much body work /paint/money I would have to put into an old car usually kills that idea.
I also see myself in a late 80s 944 turbo. I would like to know more about these cars... mostly any inherent problems, ease of upgrades, how can they be tuned, what are the HP limits of the stock motors , how similar is the NA car, etc.
Please share what you know. I would imagine the goal would be at least 400whp .... 550 would be perfect.

those are pieces of ----......replacing the motor is probably the smartest thing youll do. th 944 is porsches attempt to make an economy car. come on..........its porsche. they should have sticked to high end cars. not cheap, gas milage ones.

I love the way they look. And they're about the only way I could afford to get into a porsche. I knew the NA cars were pretty lame with something like 140whp or so .... I kinda thought the turbo version was closer to 250 and prolly a stronger motor .... and from what I have read they handle like slot cars ...

Faster acceleration than a 911 from 30 to 80...
Stock bottom end good for 450+ HP.
Unlike most Honda's, you can actually carry more than one friend. And some gear.
