theres this 95 grand am se for sale, the guy wants 300 for it. has 5 speed with a blown clutch. little rust overall. all stock. AND has a quad ohc engine, which can be swapped into my hatch if i so feel like it...ill talk him down to 150 is possible when taxes get here saturday.

No it's either not a 1995 or it's a DOHC motor. Price is good, boost is easy; just get browntops and run the AFC hack. Tranny might be the shitty one; Getrags are findable.


Find the spark plug wires, distro, PCV, and EGR for me ;)

ok its a 92 or 93 then, google ;D. but a dohc was offered but it is not as far as i could tell. i believe it is the sohc motor though. ill be looking at it again tomorrow though. i think i want it for a backup daily driver.

DOHC's came in the GT but was mandated for the 1995 year, before the "Twin Cam" came out (It's the same ---- Pete ;) ). Head might give;DOHC head swaps can be done or you can yank the motor. Scout out Quad 4 Forums. They know much more than I can give you :)

yeah thats what it was lol. but if the car is junk at least i have a motor to use if i want lol. i think im gonna get it though.

Swap that ---- out and throw an L67 in w/ cavy getrag :) then put the quad ohc engine in ze civic :6

i was thinkin that of putting in my civic too. but first im gonna see how well the condition of the grand am is. i need a backup daily for the time being. i be damned i drive the trans am again if something happens to my hatch.
