MAJORAHOLE
You're the type that gives the Honda community it's reputation of being rediculously riced out, and nothing but attitude. It's sad when you've got such a large, active community, that has alot of good people in it. Yet they're lost because there are SO MANY pricks like yourself that don't know, or do tit-for-tat.

Turn around, and pull your head out of your back end.

Every community has those people. Jibby is that person in your community, he may not be riced out...but if we're being honest - he's an -------.

If I had a V8 I would probably supercharge it, because I love the supercharger whine (perhaps more than I love the BOV sound). That and some of the V8 chassis' are almost impossible to work on.

It should also be noted that not all supercharger types work the same as far as powerband goes. I'm no supercharger expert but I read an article that said something about centrifugal superchargers working more like a turbo in terms of how the power comes on, and how a roots type is more like your stereotypical supercharger with the awesome tip-in throttle response.

I don't even know where to start with this thread so I'll just keep it simple/

jibby is a dumb ------.

Re: Superchargers?

I am never going to turbo my car period.. Just look at all the fastest dragsters in the world, Are they turbo'd or blown engines? I rest my case thank you very much.

Yes I came over here to actually maybe learn something and then maybe raise a little ---- in process, so what!!!! Everyone else seems to be raising ---- on this forum so why should I be any different. Besides this forum reminds me a little of that TV show South Park and makes me laugh I find it all amusing at times when I am desperately bored like right now for example, it is raining, and I waiting on some parts to arrive, and am bored...

However, about the only thing I did learn on this post is how to insult people better,so thanks.. now I can really put someone down when I want too,, ewwww real constructive and uplifting... I just hope little kids aren't reading all this bullshit you guys talk..

I am done for now unless I get bored again, so now for all you head talkers go and tune your A/F ratio on your turbo's before a piston shoots thru your pretty little pink carbon fiber Honda racing hood...

You stupid mother fucker... Hondas and dragsters are completely different. Go read my response, because I answered your original question as to why we don't supercharge our hondas, you obviously are not smart enough to understand?

Again go kill yourself... ;)

Now stop taking advice from your dad and grandpa and do a little of your own research about turbo's and superchargers.

Erh, even with a highly efficient IC, the compressed air from any type of forced induction is going to be a substantial bit hotter than if it were NA. Think those turbo GP cars run cool? On a normal vehicle, if full boost is sustained for a long period of time, heat will become an issue. Although this is only from research, and some guy named Bell.

Due to a sudden... Influx of HMT members on lextreme. I want to make something clear.
jibby stands on his own & does NOT speak for our community...

While I realize it is one thing to call someone out, or tell them they're a flaming douche-bag here. I WILL NOT tolerate that on lextreme. You guys haven't really created a "problem" on our forum (thank you), but please understand it is run in a family oriented way, and will be run as a reflection that Lextreme wants it run.

You're all more than welcome to join, add, or participate with it, please do so with-in our rules.

I'm a total noob on this board.

But you're a total idiot.

You have no ------- clue about what you're talking about. You gave that away when you said "forced induction is forced induction." Please call a friend and have him help you pull your head out of your ass.

I'm going to write two words and I want you to say them slooooowwwly. They have multiple syllables, so they might be tough...

Ready?

Parasitic loss.

Did you get that?

Parasitic loss is what makes superchargers MUCH less efficient than turbochargers. The supercharger drive belt eats upwards of 25 percent of the additional engine output. Think of it as a tax. You get a dollar from the government, but then you end up giving 25 cents right back. Superchargers are fine for huge engines, which can afford to lose a lot if they're gaining more. Read and learn, tool: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superchargers

Turbos are driven off the expelled exhaust gases, so they're not sapping power directly from the engine. The only drawback is a slight lag, which is extremely minimal with modern ball-bearing turbochargers. I don't know what piece of ---- you used to have, but it was probably crappy even then. If you used to have a real 300z, and not something imagined by the jizz-puddle you call a brain, then you'd know the intercooling on the 300zs was done by engineering school dropouts, and the Nissan turbo management was written by incompetent fucktards.

Please....Go find some anthrax....
Sniff deeply.

Hey dumb fucker, turbos are banned from top fuel because they make to much power :-* they're banned from f1 also. and top fuel isint a prime example of any power making technology. they're push rod 2 valve engines with lots of air and lots of nitromethane
