Why? Because superchargers on Hondas are ------- gay. They don't make ---- for power and a turbo setup built correctly will beat it in every way and have a better powerband. The problems your talking about have nothing to do with it being a turbo setup, it has to do with the person building and tuning the setup being a dumbass. A turbo setup built right won't have problems. The only area where a S/C might make more power is below 4,000rpms, but who give a ----. Hondas are all top end and if you have too much power down low you will just have traction problems because we have FWD cars with dinky tires. On a RWD V8 it's a different story though because they can actually turn the blowers and will be able to put the power to the ground with the big *** tires they usually have. The powerband on V8's are a little different than us honda guys as well.

Your ------- retarded if you couldn't figure all that out on your own... go kill yourself.

jibby man your engine almost weighs as much as our cars
Actually you're a moron. The 1uz-fe only weighs right at 450lbs. All-aluminum v8 bitch.

jibby is half curious & half teasing your little engines.

While obviously, he does not have one of the 10-15 grand supercharger kit's. He does have a 100hp wet shot on his sc400. It's not to be confused with grandma's Lexus.

You guys should convince him he needs a wire feed welder & that a $500 twin turbo SC400, without having to sacrifice the fact that it's a Lexus, is possible.

jibby, you are a jackass......we arent bashing s/c in general, only stating why we turbo.

ok, youve got to think about it this way......is is HOMEMADEturbo. which means most of us dont have as much money to stick into our cars(initial cost, maintanance, gas, insurance........). so thats why most of us drive hondas, nothing can compare to them cost wise and replacement parts are everywhere.......your right, if had a v8 or hell even a v6 i would want to supercharge it. but the powerband on these 4 cylinders are much better off using a turbo. i can also understand why your v8 is great with a s/c. your motor doesnt rev near as high as a 4 cyl. so u having turbos might not be as effective. look, i dont know much about your lexus v8 so im not going to say anything about it, but if you dont understand our methods......

dont come on here bashing everyone elses views.

btw. as far as the only down side to turbos are lag, but if your staging u can build boost before green, or if your racing from a roll(ghey) brake boost is there to save the day

Ok if you guys can be serious for a second, the truth of the matter is I don't know much about turbo's, I owned a 1995 300zx twin turbo Nissan for a few years and everytime I would go on a good hard canyon run race after the turbo's would always lose boost or be overheating or something.. It created a bad picture for me in regards to reliability...Thank god that car was under warranty or I would have really been screwed...... Now my understanding is that turbo's have come a long way in the last 10 years and are better cooled and don't have as many problems anymore. If turbo's work and are reliable then I am all for it and would even take a good turbo over my nos. Forced air Induction is forced air induction no matter how you look at it... So with that being said and after being insulted and bashed in every concieveable way, I would like to say if you guys are broke that's cool, money doesn't make the man, the man makes the money... I am all about creativity so keep building away...that is directed to the cooler dude's on this forum.. But all the other son of bitches can once again kiss my ***.....

Just because your car was overheating does'nt mean it was because it was turbo charged.

Now stop taking advice from your dad and grandpa and do a little of your own research about turbo's and superchargers.
