Goo Gone is availble at your finer home improvement stores, and Home Depot. ;)

As stated above: Heat gun (hair dryer) and some goof off. Then take a high speed to the area and blend the paint. BLEND, dont burn.

Ok all of you have great Ideas but I work at a car lot and I do this stuff for a living. Here is how to do it in detail.
1. Get a heat gun if you don't have one use a hairdryer.
2. Heat up the stripe about a foot long. Go back and forth at a nice even pace. If you have a heat gun put it on its lowest setting. If you have a hairdryer put it on its hottest setting.
3. This is very important not to screw this step up. If you do you will have scratched paint and be a very unhappy car owner. If you don't feel comfertable using a razor blade on you car use your finger nail. It takes longer but it gives you more insurance.Find the smoothest concrete you can find. Get a brand new razor blade and hold the razor with your index finger and your thumb. With the blade pointing away from your fingers, put the razor blade on the concrete and drag it toward you on its flat side in one quik smooth motion. This will roll the edge of the blade. After you do this you should feel a lip on the razor blade. It may seem it is ruined but this infact will glide across you cars paint and will not scratch it.
4. After you have heated up the metal nice and good take the razor blade, working really carefully, with the rolled edge up slide it under the stripe and lift up. this should get a good peice of pinstripe up for you to hold onto. It should then peel up rather nicely. The razor blade helps it get started easier and makes it go much faster. For the residue that is left after you peal this up you the goo-gone. It is a yellow and black bottle. You can get it at Oreilly's, Wal-mart and places like that. Have fun. If you have any questions just pm me.

crxrx7....

If you do this for a living I should hope you use a damn eraser wheel. Your just asking to scratch a car with a razor blade. I wouldn't advise that suggestion. Besides the fact that most people dont have a heat gun and if you get too close with it you will take the paint right off.

Go to the store, buy the eraser wheel and be done with it.... you'll thank me later.

Oh and as for using thinner on the paint... I woudlnt suggest that either unless you can buff it afterwards. The thinner will reduce the shine if its a clearcoat and if its a single stage it might even remove some of the paint.

Well I will take your advice now that you have said that. I have been doing this for 3 years now. I have never scratched the paint, never dulled the paint with what is call adhesive remover. Goo-Gone is the same stuff and it isn't laquer thinner. Don't use laquer thinner, it will take paint off. I am quite confident that this works. I do it on $40,000 dollar cars everyday. If it didn't work I wouldn't do it. Oh by the way I painted my own car, rebuilt a z6 engine myself, and did all the wiring myself. (Proving a point) So go have some fun taking stickers off. Thats how I do it.

crxrx7,

Everyone does things in different ways and I'm sure it works for you. I've used similiar ways to what your describing as well. Anyways yes goo gone and 3m adhesive remover are great products I use them all the time. Someone else had mentioned thinner I was just making sure he didn't use that.

I just fine it easier and dummy proof to use the eraser wheel :) If you havent used one I'd suggest trying it just to see if you like it more. Of course expect your shirt to be messy after your done though ;)
