hott ----. My boy told me it wouldnt be a good idea to do it in the cold weather though. is this true?

Go to an autoparts store that has some autobody materials. You will find something called an eraser wheel. You can attach it to a cordless drill. Anyways its exactly like a big round eraser and it works perfectly for taking of stripes, pinstripes...remander of glue from moldings.

Its a great tool, well worth the $20 or so.....and they last longer than you will probably ever need it for in future projects.

I usually us the hair dryer and the sticky residue left on i take off with some thinner. The thinner dosent hurt your paint unless its left on there. I will take the wax off though so i would take and buff the spot out that will help hide the lines a little better too.

Turtle wax makes a product called Bug and tar remover.I used it back in my rice days to remove all the stickers off my car.Anny auto parts store should have it.

so apply the turtle wax to the decal and it should come off after i use the hair dryer and remove the residue left behind

Wd-40.

No risk and it works.

Edit: Peel the pinstripe first. The wd-40 is only for the residue.

Nono!I said turtle wax is the brand.The product name is Bug and Tar remover.
