Sucky day at the junkyard
Went to the local U pull it junkyard in Philadelphia yesterday. I found this STD manifold on an old 4 spd civic. I paid $35 to go in and take as much as I could carry! I got a bunch of piping, some assorted older civic parts but after standing outside in the freezing cold for 2 hours I couldn't get the freaking STD manifold off. It wouldn't budge, and it wasn't like they were going to help me take the stuff I needed. (U pull it) Well, that was my suck day at the junkyard.

bring your craftsman socket and tools along with a mallet or a hammer. I took apart an entire d16z6 with those tools.
Good luck next time. Nick |

Re:Sucky day at the junkyard
It was wet and cold, not much room to move around on the ground and nothing to jack it up with. In other words, no, didn't get those two bolts. That was why I couldn't get it.

Re:Sucky day at the junkyard
there was no need to get under the car for those......

Re:Sucky day at the junkyard
How else could I have done it? I took off every bolt on top and it came loose off the head but would not budge off the exhaust, i pryed for like an hour.

That's a weird system. I've never been to a junkyard where they just charge you a flat rate for what you can carry. Me and Mike (88turbocrx) would be coming up if that were the case. (pulled 7 pg7 ecus and a t3 in one day) Sorry to hear about the day.

all the junkyards within about 60 miles of me are covered in 2ft of snow!
