Btw I took the GRE this morning which is why I was up so early, got 790/800 on quantitative and 450/800 on verbal :1 My vocabulary sucks, but I think my writing score will be decent.

JMU, I've said it many times including in that thread. I didn't answer you because HMT was a piece of ---- last night and NTC was the same way today.

No, it's just that no one since the guy that ran against Lincoln has been here, and VA was a huge battleground state. I didn't go to see him. Instead I took a nap and went to jiu-jitsu practice. Most of the people that went to see him were blacks that traveled from who knows where.

Right. How about the fact I was getting at.

Your school, like most is liberal as ---- and passes these traits onto you. Sad.

You, like most people who have never gone to college, love to sit back and discredit a universities relevance based off the political slant of the faculty. You, like people who haven't gone to university, assume that their political slant affects their students. You, like most people, assume you're the only thinking entity and everyone else's belief's come from outside sources greater than themselves.

I can not stand when people attempt to discredit those who go to college and the thought that comes from college. Especially those who haven't gone. It's so easy to sit back and make assumptions about what goes on inside and think to yourself that the material taught in a university is worthless.

It's understandable why you do it. It makes you feel comfortable in not having the experience yourself. No one ever wants to question their own competence, nor does anyone want to admit that they might be slightly less competent in a subject due to a lack of education. But please, know that's not the case at all.

Even the ultra-liberal professors have something you can learn from them. Even if you disagree with them, they will teach you how to do so in a more though out, articulate manor. So that you can effectively get your point across in a debate, or effectively communicate within a business without resorting to logical fallacies or lashing out in an ineffective manor like our resident know-it-all Johnny Bliss.

Sit back an analyze the situation for 30 seconds before you reply again. It's been expressed over and over in the threads that Johnny starts that he needs to articulate his arguments in a more respectful way. He continues to bait people into arguments so that he may slander the entity with whom he is arguing. It's annoying, tiresome and completely useless. You're not helping the situation by carrying this on. I myself do not agree with Obama's policies, but I can't bring myself to argue against his cause in one of these threads because of the level Johnny consistently drags any discussion to.

quit baiting me.

you know damn well professors influence their students political views. if you honestly do not believe this -> :1

Re: Stupid thread

Bliss you're doing exactly what he said you do... He said in there professors influence their student politically. So who educated you, Johnny? Who showed you their take on the world and politics? Someone did. You didn't come up with this stuff on your own. Since all you guys can do is attribute my beliefs to my professors (which doesn't make a whole lot of sense anyway since I rarely speak with them outside of lecture) I need someone to attribute your beliefs to. It's more accurate to say my beliefs came from my parents btw.

I'm sure you've sat through a college lecture with a liberal professor. In fact, in order to make your assessment of the situation valid, you would have had to. Now, did it make you a liberal? If it didn't, you've proven your own argument invalid. If you haven't, your assessment has no grounds and thereby, is invalid.

SkunT 11-11-2008 10:36 PM

Re: Stupid thread

Since when I have I ever discredited people for going to college? Never.

I know many, many people who are in college or have gone to college and were pounded with liberal views and guess what...they are liberal biased.

So let me sit back and analize:
I have gone to a university. Sat in class, no. Online, yes. Why am I no longer going...I was working from 430am until about 6pm. Don't tell me I discredit anyone for going to college. Analyze professors...again, I know very few in college or a recent university graduate and aren't liberal as hell. Of course kids are gonna agree with there professors(the ones who determine there fate)

Not having experience. I consider myself above a 4 year college degree.

I am not going to argue your liberal professors. I have learned ---- from homeless people. Some professor who has spent years and years educating themselves and others still have smelly ----, like myself. They aren't above me because of there education. Johnny isn't lashing out. Whats funny is no one can argue facts with him. He can bring out great points, and no one can fire back.

If you wanna sit back and let someone run your life, like its going to happen for the next 4 years...enjoy the ride.

Actually, no. It needs one instance of it proven wrong to be invalid. Your ego refuses to see past that. You assume people believe what they're told and act accordingly. You do not acknowledge the autonomy of an individuals thought, therefore, you really don't acknowledge individual freedom. Although you yourself think and act as an individual, you refuse to believe others are capable of doing the same.

That's why people don't take you seriously when you speak. You talk about freedom, then you revert and try to scare people into believing you rather than teaching them what it is, because you don't respect them as an individual and you don't respect their ability to think. That's why you resort to insulting the person you're arguing with and that's why you make such asinine, disrespectful statements. No one will every take you seriously unless you speak to your audience in a manor that suggests that they too are individuals capable of rational thought. Explaining to them what you believe, rather than loudly proclaiming what you believe in an insulting way.

BTW, the person who is currently teaching me "Logic" is Dr William Irvine.
http://www.wright.edu/%7Ewilliam.irvine/

Have a go at trying to discredit him. You'll find it very difficult.

You know a bunch of faggots who are getting LIBERAL ARTS degrees, Frank. In the future try hanging out in the areas of campus where the people who get jobs making the world go 'round are educated. :)

Two of my engineering professors have NRA stickers on their doors, a third has an anti-Hillary bumper sticker portraying her standing up to pee (implying her masculinity). They are conservative in the true meaning of Conservatism, not the ---- Johnny Bliss espouses. They are also open to liberal concepts as, holy ----, not all are inherently bad ideas.

Thank you JD. I laugh at the liberal arts majors. Half of them get to their senior year before they realize they're getting a degree in some bullshit that they don't even like and won't make them any money.

What, you don't find predicate logic to be a real subject?

Re: Stupid thread

No, only douche bags take predicate logic/symbolic logic classes. They need to get into engineering programs ASAP or they're never going to amount to anything. :l

I'm sorry you feel that way. From my perspective, an esoteric branch of knowledge inseperable from advanced mathematics is very much a (mental) engineering discipline.
