Nope. The cable company knows every cable modem connected to their network. If you don't pay, they can turn it off instantly.

So the best deal is, sign up for cable internet, take off the filter, and get free cable tv ;)

hmm, ours doesnt have one. must be because we have the cable and internet...

Yep. Cancel your cable tv, keep the internet. They will probably come over to install one, then you remove it.

It's called a data only filter, I work for Comcast.

my girlfriend uses comcast and they dont install filters..

I'll have to go give that a try later tonight Jago
