by the way i pay 20 a month for my cable internet. comcast 6 month promotion. when the 6 months is up, cancel and do it again.

Because the cable company installed an inline filter at your house. The filter lets internet signals go through but blocks cable tv signals. Go outside at the cable box, open it, and remove the filter. Easy ;)

Ooooooooo but on mine the line goes straight down from the pole to my mode, and there is a little sliver cylinder looking thing that goes inline with the cable before it plugs into the modem. is that what it is ????

is there a filter I could buy to let more channels in?

Nope, you need a cable box for that.

You should have all of the basic extended channels if you remove the filter.

darn. oh well. when they didn't put in the filter last time, i got like 12 channels. 2-13, is that what they call extended nowadays? :P

Eh, I guess it could be a bit different across the country with a different cable provider.

if I use a splitter and put it directly into the TV I can still see all the wireless channel correct?

now jago, this works for cable internet too? so i could go and cancel our internet service and take out this filter thing? lol
