Stuck with dial up?? know someone close that has broadband? READ THIS
C&P from f2atv.com im thinking about giving it a shot when i move to my new place
I finally got my POE access point mounted on my grid antenna today in between storms.I mounted the whole works in a plastic waterproof Lock&lock box available at Walmart for $3.I attached two conduit clamps to the back for mounting on the mast.Inside I layed out the Airlink 101 AP421W access point already setup in Client mode along with a POE adapter that receives both the power and data thru the cat5 cable.I attached an RP-SMA to N-female pigtail to the AP in order to hook up the heavy grid antenna pigtail N-male.I hooked up all the cable and powered it up inside to make sure everything was working. Everything worked fine so I mounted it on the mast. I took some pictures of the installation. The AP is working fine so far.I am using 35 ft of cat5 cable which comes inside to the POE adapter where the power is provided. The cat5 cable plugs into the POE and then runs to my linksys wrt54g router Internet port.I now have wifi thoughout my house with this setup.I am running the dd-wrt v23 sp1 firmware.I am receiving a good strong signal from my neighbors Belkin54g router that sits in the back of his house.I am receiving his signal (with his permission) bouncing off the house behind him and even through some trees which you can see in the background.I am currantly using his broadband cable signal at this time.I downloaded a large program a few minutes ago from an ftp site at 390kbps...not bad for 150 yds away via wifi.

is that worth saving 40 buccks a month to get a shitty *** connection :1
now if u dont have a job and live with ur parents and ur parents dont know what a tv is i could see that..
but 40 bucks a month for cable internet.. and then unplug the cable line.. throw in a 2 way splitter run one cable to ur tv for free basic cable.. other to ur modem for the internet.. thats free cable.. and internet.. for 40 bucks a month :1
