Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
I'll be working at that time so im going to have to time record that show. Is it just a documentary?
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
I think so. Only saw like 10 seconds of the preview. But sounds like its gonna be worth watching
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
its probably gonna be about a bunch of ricers with slow civics with loud fart cans that race light to light all the time and cant drive and kill people. oh well...i'll probably still watch it :-\
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
Did anyone see the one on mtv, I cant remember if it was any good.
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
yeah i remember that mtv one, it was kinda stupid. Had a lot of shitty ricers but they followed around a guy a rhd na integra with a quad tb settup. Just kinda remember that being cool.
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
$HIT......I don't remember the MTV deal bein' stupid at all...this Mexican kid had a 4-door teg with a built motor...he busted a CRX and a Del Sol in the same night...their ---- might've been slow, but his ---- was DEFINITELY fast...thanks for lettin' us know about Mon. night....I'll definitely watch...
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
the MTV one was all filmed out here, we still make fun of a certain honda tuning tech contributor who is gonna be left unnamed for that one.
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
"The culture of street racing is an urban phenomenon that's ------ing across the globe. Meet the kids spending loads of time and money gearing up their first cars to transform them into lighter, faster, louder and flashier drags."

Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
im from jersey and i race in philly we have the best street racing in the world theres not too much rice just fast cars and tv makes it look like its dangerous and out of control
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
It really does depend on the crowd. There are a shitload of dumbasses who come out at our races and ruin it 80% of the time.
TV is supposed to make it look dangerous because it is. The out of control part is up to individuals, really. |
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
the only ones who mess up our races is the law i wish those fuckers good luck in the next few weeks when street races get big beyond control when the snow melts and it gets warm and everyone finishes thier winter projects

Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
it's suppose to b about 2 streetracers (1 guy 1 girl) and the show gives them money to build their cars even faster and race them on a LEGAL DRAG STRIP...it sounded all fun till the "legal part"...
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
Is it on yet? Can someone encode it and host it somewhere?? I don't think we're gonna get it on our Canadian Discovery channel.
Stan |
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
yeah, it's either not on, or we don't get that thit up here in canada :( >:(
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
just guessing by how the discovery channel has turned to ---- in the last few years the 2 people will probably rice out thier cars for the drag strip. I'll try to remember to check it out.

Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
------- lame nothing was on so i watched it. The whole show was about making one car faster than the other so they made the best performance mod available....a body kit :-\
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
whats wrong with legal drag racing? not soying i never race on the street (last week jeff and i were up to 125mph) but for me racing my black car at the drag strip is much more of a rush

Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
if that dumb girl didnt have that big ass wing on the back of her ----, she might have won.
the mistu shitty snapped and axle. hmmmm ::) |
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
how i would have made it better.
1) pick and choose any used car below 3 grand. 2) pick and choose the people you want to work with. 3) have two junkyards, and have each team chose one. 4) they can get anything they want from it. 5) give them a week to build. 6) one day to test drive and fix what needs to be fixed 7) race the hell out of the cars. |
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
show sucked. thats not how it is in real life.....again....bullshit i say
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
damn... is everybody on hmt on the east coast or something? pacific time zone reppazent muhfuckaz! hehehe...lol. im gonna turn it on now just to check it out.
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
The girl ran like a 14.9 when converted to quarter mile. That is on a boosted B16 with 75 shot, someone can't drive. Apparently she is a regular on Honda-Tech, and she blew the motor they gave her on the show after she ran a 12.6 at some other track a while after the show was taped. That's more like it.
|
Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
I cant believe those homos at Apex dissed tha "D" like that."thats the biggest piece of ---- motor honda ever made".........---- you!!!That blond hared black guy was so ------- GAY!And you guys are dissing the chick but nothings hotter than a chick who aint afraid of getting dirty and able to work on an engine.Id ---- that bicth on top of that blown engine in her car!...."milf!,milf!,milf!"

Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel

|

Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel

Re:Street Racing- Pedal to the metal on Discovery channel
take out the sohc and put in a b16a..................and then they dropped the amount of $3500 for the B16A?!?!?!?
Why would anyone buy a B16a for $3500? Also the DSM had all the advantages. I mean com'on, running an 1/8 against a turbo charged FWD car. How isnt the AWD car supposed to win? They would have been better off building the civic NA if they were racing for an 1/8 |
