I just need some input other then go kill yourself, my son is doing a project at school, he needs to ask 10 teenagers and ten adults to name one thing they would want with them if they were stranded on a island. I figured we have a decent mix of both here? Kids in grade three...seems a little much to me...

I hear yah there. My third grader brings some stuff home that suprises me sometimes. If I were stranded on a island I'd want a swiss army knife. That way I could use it to make some kind of shelter(with 3" sawblade that comes in some ) by cutting down some branches and making some type of covering. Otherwise I could always use the knife blade to stab myself if all else fails. :P

lol, i dont think a third grader can put that on paper and give it to his teacher, im 19 and i think id probably want a hatchet.

a hatchet would do. you can cut some wood, make a fire, maybe kill animals, and make some sort of shelter by cutting down things he would need.

id say a machetti(sp?) use it like a hatchet and knife for defence if needed. but if i were lost at sea/air id want a big chunk of boat or plane. plenty of ---- in those to make other ---- out of

i cant beleive the teacher expects a 3rd grader to know 10 adults and 10 teenagers. thats one of thoes things i wouldent have done because i was a shy kid then the teacher would bitch like i was just being a lazy -------. i wouldent even do the group work in class unless i got to do it by myself.

you can use me for teen or adult, wich ever im 20.

id bring a large knife, an extreamly convex magnifying glass for fire, and a cross bow. if possible replace crossbow with satalite phone.
