Re: stolen cars
Weird, I never worry about my car being stolen.
----, one of the cars has been sitting at the apartment complex unlocked for over half a year with valuable ---- inside it and nobody has touched it...
Regardless, I don't spend thousands on useless car parts that would be stolen anyway.

Wanna know why the all motor scene became so popular in california right there. You would be amazed how many stock grandma looking civics show up to tracks out here. I guess no matter what the intercooler is a dead giveaway.

paranoia will destroy ya
not much you can do if you plan on keeping that rex and fixiing it up. get some kill switches and pull the ecu. dont paint it. have donuts on it. let it rust. blow the motor, burn the seats. maybe then youll be ok.

Re: stolen cars
after owning 5 CRX's and not finishing a single one of them as planned before selling them, I thought for once I will make this CRX the way I envisioned it and it would suck to have that all taken away. I guess I have reason to be paranoid, one of my CRX's got stolen one night even with the ecu removed. Some theives are just well prepared. It still haunts me to this day.
I love CRX's more than any other car, but the frequwncy of thefts is freaken ridiculous. I see guys near where I live with 240sx's with S13 front ends and pretty rims on them that just park their cars on the street, sometimes like a block away from their apt complex, it looks like they dont worry too much

Funny you say that, I was planning on going all motor LS for this one, haha. Same reason too.
Interesting option... I should look into that... the miatas are a nice handling car too.

Re: stolen cars
Yup, Miatas are pretty fun.
I've thought about buying one but didn't want a car with the homo stereotype. The Honda driver stereotype isn't much better so I think I might buy an old 1st gen beater next time. RWD FTW

Re: stolen cars
Is it still that bad in LA with car theft with honda's? I haven't visited HT in almost a year and remembered like almost every other day there was a post about someone's car getting jacked. I say just build it cause you can't live in fear your whole life...well you can but how fun is that? ---- happens bro...build it and have fun. I say like be creative and make like a lock out tag out type box out of some heavy gauge steel and put your ecu connectors in it. Can't really do a whole lot if they can't get to the connectors to plug a ecu in. Since your a mad baller. Like pay a bum with cheeseburgers and crack to sit in your car over night to watch it.
