You don't have to pay it back, pay taxes on it, and it's not a loan and has nothing to do with your taxes for next year so YES it is free ------- money. If they didn't give it out they would have just blew it on some even more retarded ----. Just be glad you got ANYTHING back from the **** suckers. Next time I hope they skip you and send you a letter telling you to take your family and GTFO. :1

It's amazing how none of you understand how the economic stimulus checks work. They are loans. Primarily from China. It's not like our government said, "hey let's just cut some funding on other programming and send checks out to tax payers." They said, "Let's send out money to tax payers but we have no money to send them so let's ask China for money." It's *** backwards. It is better that we are borrowing from China vs Saudi Arabia or Venezuela, but not much.

I agree. I just don't see how people can claim it isn't a loan and it's "free money". Paying interest on $400 billion dollars accrues a lot of interest. Since the US is becoming the broke *** ***** country, we can't afford to pay much of it off so we are just going to print more money and the dollar will become more and more inflated. People need to realize that this isn't our government being more frugal and setting aside funds for the tax payers. It is the government going out and taking loans out to pay us. It is completely different and far more stupid. In the end these checks won't simulate anything because we are just going to spend it on gasoline and groceries.

Pumping more money into the system makes the money you have worth less. It doesn't matter if they gave everyone a million dollars, in the end, you have less total worth than you started with.
Anyone who thinks this is a good thing is a ------- moron.
