i bet because the boost would have leaked out of the housing, the turbo would overspin like crazy and the bearings/thrust washer etc will get pwn3d and then the compressor wheel grinds itself when it contacts the housing. Ive seen it happen on rebuilds when the rebuilder neglects to install a compressor cover gasket

I dunno, that was probably a display turbo to show what half a compressor housing looks like and they glued it back together??
That turbo looks pretty meaty.. My buddy has a XS power turbo for almost a year and has had 0 problems with it.

seeing that ---- just makes me want to stab an ssautoshit employee, ---- that company, biggest piece of ---- parts on the planet, I hear a new complain about them every day, and sad part is no one does anything about it, wish people didnt buy their ----.

Did anyone ever hear about a sscrap turbo lasting for some decent time?
Have a ssauto wastegate myself, have it for about 2 months, never had any problems with it... but then again, I haven't used it yet
