SSAUTOCHROME

so, i have heard all this bad stuff about ssautochrome, so i decided to check it out myself. well, they have a 98%+ feedback rating. so which is it? they suck ----, or they have 98% satisfacton. thats better then gieco ;).

I only want to hear from people who have actually bought from them, good or bad. thought this would be a way to get the truth out about the quality of product, so less people fall victim to crappy parts.

Re:SSAUTOCHROME

people give feedback without testing the product, it arrives in the mail and they say yay!

a percentage doesnt say everything either, look at the actual positive/negative numbers

2% of 100,000 people is still 2000 people saying they suck.

For the record, I would rock their wastegates/bov's, and thats about it.

They get the product and leave positive feedback before they use it. It cracks 2-3 months later and they're SOL.

I've heard their wastegates are decent... Anyone have experience with them?

civiczc is using one, holds steady, no spikes or creeping.

dude... did you NOT see the manifold recently posted on the site? the wg flange broke straight off the manifold after only 1k miles... less then 2 months... turbo's dropping, turbo even splitting in two held together with glue? u do the math or test it out our selves then let us kno if ur another one of the unsatisfied customers or one of the lucky ones.. or u can buy it, weld the ---- outa it and hope it holds... or u could use that money on buying supplies to make your own since u gotta weld it to hold up anyway...

Re:SSAUTOCHROME

I've used there manifold and wG since late August, and no problems. But since the weekend I have changed it out and put in a new cast iron one. When I had it, it worked fine. no prblems. But the thought of it breaking on me made me change it.
Ever since i saw that post here not too long ago, of the broken manifold. I think it linked to hondatech.

Re:SSAUTOCHROME

the weekness of the manifolds are the welds. they welded stainless to steel with some ---- rods. i had mine retigged with "super missle rod" and it is holding great. the new rod is made for welding two differant metals together. i guess thats why it is $20 a lb. if you buy one because the price is cheap (that will probobly be the olny reason) make sure you know somebody who can tig weld and get some of that rod.

p.s
i'll let you know when mine breaks ;)
