sry for the f-bomb but..... ---- THIS RPM SWITCH
ok heres the deal i buy a summit rpm switch. i read a websight saying the signal is a ground and needs to be converted to a 12v signal. and they give a diagram of a reley. so i wired it accordingly to the reley and ---- still dont work.? WTF if someone has one of these pieces of ---- please help me out so i can get me vtec working. maybe im leaving outa a ground or somthing. please help. all info is welcome>!

i had one of these rpm switch it never worked and mine was from msd piece of ---- i do know u use one of those big relays forgot how it went the intrucstions on mine said how to..if i find it ill let u know

ok well if this is an rpm activated switch which is what i got u have to go into the distributor. and through a rely. then it works my brother figured it out after a couple of days after mine not working. he talked to msd and they said all this crap but if u want me to find out exactly what he did i can hve him tell me and then let u no Austin

ya im sending it back i tried te whole relay thing and its just ---- nothing works dammit anyways, but thanks guys for your help? is the msd any easyer to hook up cause thats what ill be buying next

um its prolly the same. i got the msd and i had to use a relay like i said and i needed to put a wire into the distributor. idk what wire but if u want to wait i can talk to my brother and find out what to do like i said and then u can try it. u do have the pills to kick it on to rite? Austin

I say Summit should put down the pipe.
They're expecting the RPM signal to trigger the relay? Man I hope not....imagine a mechanical relay turning on and off at 1000-8000 RPM. Relays weren't meant for that....that's what transistors are for.

ok ill talk to my brother for u 2morrow. see we had it like that and it didnt work then we found out we needed to put a wire actually in the distributor. msd didnt no that they told us we fried the switch. but ill get bck to u 2morrow with the info later.
