if you read the thread, the SRT4 was boosting 17psi and spraying the 100shot and was backfiring because he was running lean as a ----------er.
that d16y8 was putting like 300 to the wheels or so...

So you beat him out of the hole? I call BS! The only way I am believing that is if you had some drag radials on at the time. Also what's your setup? I am just going to guess I am making more horsepower than you unless you have a built motor. What kind of suspension do you have? What tires? Do you have an LSD? There is no way your going to get an SRT-4 out of the hole and pull on it through 1st and 2nd without some some really sticky tires, sorry buddy. Even with sticky tires I'm not so sure you could get an SRT-4 through 1st and 2nd (It would be a good race).
The other night I was at a friends house, one of her friends just happen to be there and he has a brand new blue SRT-4 (looked pretty sweet!) that he got a month ago (only 3,000 miles!). We all went out to eat and were talking about cars and what not. Well on the way home we pulled up next to each other, I had my shitty all season tires on (meaning me having to shift at 5,000 rpms in 1st and 2nd gear, then I have to wait to get going in 3rd) and even with my LSD, suspension, and solid motor mounts I still can't get traction. I knew it wasn't going to be good if we raced from a stop with my shitty tires. We go and he beat my *** out of the hole pretty good, but once I got going in third gear I would catch up pretty fast. This was also against a driver that has never he taken his car to redline or raced his car... so against a good driver? I would have had an even harder time catching up.
I know if I had my drag radials on I would have been able to take him and I know if we would have raced from a roll I would have got him also, but it wasn't close from a stop with those tires I had. We didn't really have much room to race either so when I was finally almost caught up I had to slow down. I would have really liked to have had my drag radials on though so I could really know what those things can do against my car from a dead stop. Anyways we get back to the apartment and he says "you want to take it for a drive?" I have never driven or raced one so I am like, hell yeah! So I take it for a spin around the block (of course I take it to redline a few times and launch a couple times as well), It really felt nothing like my civic at all and to be honest it actually felt a lot slower (he took a ride in mine and thought the same thing), my turbo kicks in pretty hard at higher rpms so you can really feel it pull, but the SRT-4 gets full boost before like 3,000 rpms and pretty much starts pulling before that. It's really smooth acceleration and has nice low end, but I just didn't like it compared to my turbo civic. I still think it's a nice car though and defintely pretty quick for being stock.
I would like to hear scrappydoo's input on this also, since he has had a turbo civic and now has an SRT-4.

Mine is black an no way pat would hang from a roll with my srt4. Which my dad now street races..
If your into srt4's youve probably heard of muddyjeep.com's srt4..
When i had it i raced a friend of mines 03 Z06 with cam / full exhaust and lid and i walked him by 3 or 4 cars up to 145mph..
Also i never ran lean when i sprayed 100shot. I stayed around 11.5 afr
Unless pat is trapping in the low 120's he wouldnt come close.
