Not running a Microsoft email client, and not clicking on stupid attachments, is 95% of not getting a virus.

A lot of those got blacklisted too. I was running that, and got blocked. So after you switch the XP key, it'll probably make you install "windows genuine advantage". After that, open up an IE window and go into the tools menu and click on 'manage add ons...'

from there, you want to disable the 'Windows Genuine Advantage' plugin. Voila, you're set.
