Sprint PCS customers read this
On oct 1st Sprint raised their SMS messaging rates from 10 to 15 cents. This is a material change in your contract, thus allowing you to opt out of your contract with no charges.
Just call *2 on your phone and talk to a representative about it. They know what you are talking about, tons of people are already doing it. If you have a SMS plan, they will tell you that it doesn't effect you. I am getting conflicting information on that, so just call and give it a try. Do not make any account changes or pay any bills. This would be considered an agreement to the new terms. This has been a lot of places online, but I did not see it here. Here is a good thread about it engadget article |

Re: Sprint PCS customers read this
suppose I should clear this up. This is only if you want to drop your service.
You can however use this as leverage for something else. I got 500 free SMS messages per month for free. Some people have used the leverage to get 20% discounts on bills ect. |
