Glad to break it to you, but that means nothing. Want a picture of multiple broken forged aftermarket units?

Bottom line is if you abuse the setup or do anything that causes crank block flex the oil pump gear has the crank snout yamming it against the housing and it breaks. #1 reason why the Eggum car ran a stock unit... no reason to pee away money when they only break if there is something wrong, that would cause a forged one to break too.

Spiker, stick with it man. You drive the ---- out of your car, and are therefore experiencing all the stupid problems that plague race teams. If you need anything feel free to ask.

The cylinders and pistons look good (REALLY good considering how i beat the ---- out of this thing), although there was slight contact on the edge of the pitons with the head... NOT 1 IOTA of any detination.... head LOOKS good too... Turbo is smoked (rebuildable), and Im pretty sure its going to need a new oiul pump and set of rod bearings.. Hopefully the mains are ok, but I have a bad feeling thats going to need to be adressed too....

We put the gears and tires on a gear calculator to figure out how high it saw on the misshift... Motor saw 11.8-12k If the inertia didnt keep it going from there

ANYWAYS PICS:

Wow, that is a real testament to the parts used and whoever built the motor! Piston to head contact = rod stretch. Rod stretch without breaking = ------- good rods. What are they, I'll keep them in mind in future!

Sorry to hear about the mishap :-( Good luck with the bottom end.
