so i go to College Of Dupage in IL....and there is this sweet S curve and then a nice straight away....so i am taking the turn at around 60-65mph and then come out of the apex doing around 75-80....i then start to slow down because 1/8th mile ahead was a stop light. so i am slowin down to around 70mph and i see cherries right about these two bushes with a hole in the middle of the bushes. i went passed the cop doin 10 over and i didnt even notice him and then he pulls me over and gives me a ticket for doing 69mph in a 30mph. i was like fuuuuuuuuuuuccccckkkkkk. so does ne1 know how much its goin to be? and this is deff. not the first offence......am i looking over $200-$300 in fines? this sucks

Wow, 69 in a 30? Youre probably looking at a lot more than a little 200$ fine. I had one for 88 in a 65 (only 23 over, not even close to 39 over) and after all was said and done, I shelled out $410 plus traffic school. I got pulled over last Friday doing 88 in a 75 and the cop said he wasnt going to ticket me, but if he did it would be "almost $400". I think he was probably full of ---- just trying to scare me, but still. I wouldnt be suprised if you got ------- community service or something.

I dont know about other places but in nevada, if the cop writes the ticket and you sign it, youre fucked. Whatever the ticket says, thats how fast you were going, no question. You do have the right to ask to see the cop's radar with the speed readout on it though, so they can't completely ---- you over(My dad got pulled over for 51 in a 40, so he checked the gun and it said 49. Cop let him off cuz he knew he got caught being a chicken ******)
Point is, cop can just say he gunned you doing 69 and you cant do ---- about it.

117 in a 55 cop said he had to do over 90 to catch me after i slowed down. so ticket for 90 in a 55 = $200. more to the story but the sums it up basiaclly.
