I don't discriminate, I love a k, d, and b. I was curious about the new Si sedan (new for '07), so I went down to my dealership and they had 1 Si left and it happened to be exactly what I was looking for. I took it out for a spin and I really enjoyed driving it. The 6 speed tranny was very smooth and a pretty short throw. It handled really great too... LSD FTW. So I traded in the BMW ('95 325i) and said ---- it, I've never owned a new car before and this fits my needs. I'll be a bit broke for a while, so FI will probably be coming after the warranty is up, lol.

lol... yeah, yeah. I know it's not a fast car, nor will I pretend to keep up quick cars... my 4 door integra was slow before the turbo too :P

and yeah, I will be having kids pretty soon, so that's what I mean when I say "fits what I need".

I'd rock a mini-van if it drove like this. ;D

too bad they dont come with those wheels from the factory. and if that civic were a coupe, i'd be picking that night and day over that cobalt. stock block turbo k20>fastest person on cobaltss.net going 12.8@110. thats just pitiful.

no one has put money into it.

the ecotec motor in the colbalt is a more capable motor than the k20.

the fastest 4 banger drag car in the world is ecotech powered

I don't really care for the new Si civics. I ---- on one in my N/A B16 CRX, and I can't imagine the 4dr version being any faster.

I like the 4 door SI. I have a child and one on the way. Throw some suspension under it and make it real fun to drive. I havent built a turbo K yet either.

ive driven them and they arent real fast, maybe a mid 15s car but the suspension is pretty good for stock and it is pretty fun to drive. Good purchase!

That'd be a pretty fun little ride for the family. Definitely an improvement over the last few iterations of the civic.

I can't see myself buying a cobalt over the civic. Civics are "cheap" but the cobalts seem even cheaper and it closely resembles the ugly ass base model cheap looking slow cavalier replacement family cars, except the ricey looking wing. The one you posted looks good with those wheels, but that'si it. No thanks.

Hmmm Honda Tuning was good for one thing, letting me know that the CD accord chassis was essentially the same as the 1995 honda ODDessy. Turbo H22 Minivan rapage is something I want to put together.

One problem I do have with this car is the drive-by-wire throttle... WTF. Why? It unnecessarily adds a component to the electronics system. I just don't like it.

i've driven a cobalt ss and they are alrgiht, id prolly even own one but they're is no way you can argue a 2 door american econo box is better than a 4 door si for a family, that just one you wont win ;) if you have kids civic si sedan > cobalt ss

I don't like it because there is noticable lag in response. Plus, I don't like the idea of not having a direct connection between my foot and the TB... it's like Sky-Net in Terminator. It has already begun...

Yeah next they'll have sensors setup on the side of the road that won't let your car go over the speed limit......oh wait I forgot they're greedy. They will have sensors on the side of the road and if you speed they will mail you a ticket.

i was just giving you ---- dude, isnt it wierd how if you step on it in second a little and just push the clutch in and go into nuetral the engine keeps the revs up for a second, thats so wierd to get used to

I couldn't figure out why there was this rev hang (as it's dubbed on the interweb) when I pushed in the clutch... I didn't know if it was some computer setting, flywheel weight issue or what the hell... but I've found it's due to the throttle system... if there's ever a way to do a throttle cable mod, I'm on it, lol.

fo sho i figured it was teh throttle wire thingy, i drove my buddy's and i even beat a cobalt ss :P 06 si with navigation went from a dig, me in slow car vs 17 year old that cant drive me>him
