not exactly. my uncle works at macco on the weekends hes been painting cars for about 30 years now, had a few in magazines, has awards....

the shop might not put out quality work, but he himself does...

..and macco uses ppg paint, (last time he told me anyways) and they spray in a booth. both a good combo. (paint is pretty much all personal preference)

so IMO, its all who is behing the spray gun.

Man a monkey could spray the paint the quality in the job comes from the prep work. A plus to maaco they usually paint your tires for no extra charge.

just paint it your self i did and it came oiut better than i thought it would....socal crew can vouch for that

i painted two of my homeboy's car's. came out pretty good for single stage. but maaco hooked me up.

that came out real nice. painting a car yourself isn't as easy as it looks though. i used to be in that buisness and the bodywork and the painting go hand in hand. both the painting and the bodywork have to be top notch. if not, things aren't gonna be so dandy :P
