Don't you just love when things turn out to be something stupid and simple, the other day I was all worried I had blown my engine until I finally got it home and plugged in the number 3 spark plug wire. Made me feel hella good though.

Has the discussion changed now that your car has fixed?
Everybody thinks that you can build a bottom end for the price of pistons and rods, (which by itself is not that cheap!!) but they rarely take into account what else you need, like rod bolts, rings, etc. and for the average joe machine work. Even if you have some experience in motor building, is it really worth spending the money on je's and crowers, if you're not going to have them installed perfectly?
Anyway, B-Series are not all that expensive anyway. I picked up a B18a longblock for $150 from the junkyard, a complete B20b head w/ intake mani and tb for $135 (so that I can run obd I). Now I need a tranny, new head gasket, shift linkage and I'm ready to roll. Yup, my ls swap will be cheaper than a built d bottom end.

on another note, you were about to buy a new engine and all you needed was a 2.00 spark plug, ha
