Default Re: So the Xbox Live TrueMatch Server...

Just played on a cousin's account to level him up alittle (He's young, has a hard time and must have red dot / apature sights for COD games). Went 11-13 (wrong settings loaded), 22-4, 22-4, 22-2, 24-2, 18-1 (host quit) LoL! Needless to say, anyone just getting into cod W@W, lemmie play on your profile for an hour so I can get you a 4:1+ K/D ratio LMAO!

No. with XIM's they do alot of processing on your PC to make them programmable and infinately more accurate. There-hence-forth you can use literally any input that can be seen in XP/Vista/Win7 from midi device inputs to anything USB.
I use a Logitech G9 mouse and my laptop's built in keyboard. Some people use gaming grade keyboards or things like a Saitek CCU/Belkin controller.

I have an XIM1. That's the old way that must use an adapter with a PS2 controller port on it. (XFPS/Max Shooter 2 for 360, any of a hundred input devices for PS2/PS3) Most of the Playstation adapters can do around 60 updates a second. The XFPS/MS2 for use on xbox go around 28-32 updates a second. I think that get's blown out of proportion alot simply because the xbox 360 can only poll the inputs every 20-25 ms anyway. So a round trip button press (that would be X button DOWN X button UP) would take 40-50ms. Which happens to be about 25 presses/second. And that's for a faster wired controller. No comment on how fast a PS3 can accept inputs.
The newer half dozen version of the XIM2 solder directly onto an xbox 360 wired controller and have better programming.

So in my case it goes Xbox 360 -usb-> Max Shooter 2 -PS2 controller port-> XIM 1 -usb-> PC and anything attached to the PC can be used as an input.

People ask themselves why so many PS3 owners are running XIM 1's to kb &m when the PS3 has mouse drivers. That's because only one PS3 game actually supported a mouse and it was so pitiful Sony asked developers to despinse with supporting them.
