OK so I got the first good look at Honda's first truck ever today during the Super Bowl and I want one. For $27K its a pretty nice truck in my opinion.

255hp VTEC V6, kinda wished it had a V8 but we all know Honda wouldn't jump that far in one leap. I'm gonna go check one out in March, me and the wife have been discussing me getting something a little more family friendly. But I still get to keep the Civic. ;D

I wouldnt classify it as a "work truck" but for hauling the kids, and getting grocerys, doing light hauls, it would be alright.

its pretty nice....I like the under bed stow away thingy too. but for $27k I'm scooping a used F250 Powerstroke with change to spare...can't beat that American hoarzpowah and tork!! ;D

ps - looks like a wannabe caddy escalade sxt or whatever, and doesnt have enough bed.

pps - beds are supposed to be seperate pieces so that i can take it off and put a flatbed on, or tube out the entire rear chassis.

Not too bad its kinda like buying a tacoma or something along those lines but it would be kick ass if they threw in a big diesel motor instead. I guess its just not for the redneck muddin' type that think they need the biggest gas guzzling motor they can find. To sum it up I would sport one

But anyway, this truck isn't out there to compete with the F250 Powerstrokes, its out there to compete with the T-100's and the Frontier's. I like it.

27K? Starts at 28k with barely any options I bet. 30k seems about right with all the goodies. Not worth it IMO. ::)

I saw it at the Philly auto show last night. $27k is the base. It goes up to $34k I think. TQ is lower than HP, something like 250. Its pretty roomy inside. I liked the compartment under the bed and the tailgate swings down and to the side. It has cool features.

my cousin bought a 2005 tacoma with most of the extras 2 weeks ago for $27000. 6 speed, 4 wheel drive. it has a ------- AC outlet in the bed so you can put a tv in the back or whatever you want.

the prototype for the ridgeline was ugly as ----, they did improve for this one. but I'm not about to drop $30k on that ----, I don't have $30k.

johnny has the right idea. my old man just traded his 04 hemi ram for an 05 hemi ram. got a hell of a deal and actually broke even on the trade, plus he got a nicer version of the same truck, now he's baller status with 20's, lol...dorky old man.

255hp and 250trq would probably be enough to tow my civic to the track. But that is a lot of money, I think i'd rather a new Dakota V8.

are they really that bad?? ford truck trannys seem to suck(explorer, etc.) hows Dodge and the Cummins...yall seemed to like that better. I just think the new F-series look better than the Rams :P all I really want is a nice turbo diesel I can beef up like Stacy does on Trucks ;D

i saw a little segment about it on the speed channel, they said it perform pretty well for what it was both on road and off road. It looked funy busting three wheel motion while climbing the rocks though :P

They said the towing capability was good, and they also compained about it having a v6 instead of a v8.
