Here In Kentucky something like that could totally happen. their are big 100 plus acre farms with woods over about half of them. Here you can walk out in the woods and find whole like little home steads with an old abandoned house and barns all over the place. If the owners were old and died or something and the family or the executor went to sell the property it would be real easy for them to not know about the barn. It takes along time to walk a lrge wooded property and check every inch. I know of some farms when I was a kid that you just couldn't do it in a whole day of morning till dark walking maybe even two.

But who leaves thing that valuable laying around. And Ive heard the little old lady and the dead son story before too and I hate country so bad I want to break the radio if I have to hear it for more then 30 seconds.

around VA and MD you see farms w/ 100-250acres for sale on the regular. many of them advertise saying "numerous outbuildings and structures" so for this to happen isnt out of the realm of possibility. like you said it was prob from some OG portuguese farmer guy and it has been in his family for generations. most of the large farms around here were built back in the mid 1800's and a few from the 1700's and they prob stayed in the family for most of their "working" lives

yea, but when u think of 15-20 acres of jungle, and if it has grown for 15 years, it is possible. he probably had it semi-hidden for a reason, and just the path got overgrown in a matter of 5 years

If it is the real deal I would be interested to hear the story behind why they're there.

The 356 would be my pic out of the lot.

If you buy a house and while digging a pool you find the Holy Grail burried there, it belons to you. The cahtelic church mught fight you over it and you might end up bankrupt or even dead but it would be yours... :P
Technically when you buy any land you are only purchasing the surface rights. If you dig a hole and find gold or oil you do not own that ---- unless you purchase the mineral rights for your property as well.
